Lightness In Being
Verses of acceptance are drawn along a fine line
For the sake of advice, they implement a consensus
As the relationships of mutual reconciliation
Adjust to the persistence of selfless ambitions
Ignorance randomly conveys a frightening summary
Over-protecting those immune to their own entropy
A specter of grounded thoughts eclipses dodging ideas
For instincts to achieve the delight of serene states,
Risks of life must shift from this world to another
Halfway around the world we travel with time to spare ...

How It Came To Be
Denial fights back tooth and nail
Upon its karma it seeks revenge
Lost in the rage it can't overcome
Chasing envy through angry thoughts
Taking down the options in its path
A veil is wrapped around my heart
Choking the life out of better times
If only I could untangle my feelings
And tie the knots of scrambling pasts
This outcome of hate stands stronger than all

Captive Hereafter
Silence speaks volumes in this world of convictions
Harmony is seen striving for a forthright resolution
Waning perspectives light the eternally conferred
Beyond this holy ground this conscience must travel
When dissension and compromise face off and collide
To whom must we turn to for our confirmation of doubt?
Troubled times sink beneath those heavy expectations
Into an oblivion of uncertainty we forever ride
The sands of infinity cross paths with a dormant dawn
From which we preserve our soul's ever-present shelter ...

Salvation Unseen
Like so many times before
A dirty alibi infiltrates the lifeblood
That faith hesitates to disclose
Insecure harmony, unchained redemption
Lost time glides across a dim future
Chasing myths on the road to legends past
False paranoia breeds wandering illusions
Sanity cries at the gates of madness
This is where the unwanted is cast aside
Stitches in my mind, memory unbound
Quench the thirst of my nevermore
I bear this shining upon me

Derailed
A plea bargain is cracked open
Only to be buried by a staged smile
Ditched by those who ride its back
Under the setting sun of envy
Undone and bleeding, it spits right back
Ready to choke its worth back to life
It does not belong in this dead end
It disappears as one lays beside it
Bored to death by weak arguments
A tamed beast can be found lurking
Among the dangers it stands for,
Hunting down the prey it finds
Far from the grudge it held dear
Impressive findings are traced back
To a crossing of derailed dreams

Mind Astray
My scars are sealed off wounds
Stitching the me from worlds ago
Ruptures stain my unclean body
A numb spirit tries to mend them
Swallowed pride scales steep hills of fear
Grasping admittance with sweating palms
It clings to the firm spikes of reluctance
Belief always bets on its own abilities
A selfish cure for what ails the soul
I break away from a mind running astray

Unbound Reprisal
This search is branded guilty of treason
By undisclosed sources of fleeing motives
Censored while waiting for fresh opinions
Potent freedom is forever carved in stone
Chiselled into a dark statue with sharp edges
Its deceptive shapes impress the eyes of many
Standing tall at the doorway of the unseen
It tries to take out the thorns in its side
While tilting on the liberty that supports it
The aura of its presence shines through it all
Here comes the unbound reprisal it awaits

Where can I find the will to display
That a wounded soul finds shelter this way?
From illustrious settings of feelings gone
Comes a sea of shadows where so many belong
Victory to those blinded by loyal faith
Lost chapters within a skewed perception
Divine harmony, one's premature conception

To Join The Sun
Silence leads to the gates
Of an eternal journey
Where my answers dwell
Beyond a storm of madness
I can feel a shroud of illusions run free
Through a burial ground of fallen dreams
Merciless are the distant skies
That echo in laughter
Before the pleas of my wounded heart
Without rhyme or reason,
Time will wed my love
To the immortal shadows of the moon
All I hear are screams of distress
Deeply entombed in the night

Unmoved are the pillars of my foundation
As delusional attempts vow to strike them down
Feeble minds are forsaken in their disarray
Unable to bend power in a convincing direction
My harness of frustration keeps my will at bay
It warns me of the shortcomings that await
A fallout lurks beneath my repressed anger
Instincts rip through this void of aggression
Ready to display their oppressive domination
Sacrifices cover the wounds of determination

By an ecstasy fully devoted to
Sensuous pleasure and intense pain
From a restless turn of events
Surfaces another scarred life
It carries a wound laced
With the disdain in my heart
Deliverance strives to break
The fever of bitterness
Concealed deep within
The darkness of grim insights
Conflicts from my hidden lair
Caress the soul of a lullaby,
Sweet enough to sway its rhymes

Wandering within the confines of nowhere
A portrait of blank images shows the way
Honor serves the call of a lonely stranger
Whose life lays calmly in a pool of dismay
