Strands
I see a strand
Dangling off of you.
Deer eyed, fixed
You're stuck on loop.
Nothing to save and nothing to prove,
This is the plague of life.
She's got her roots
Weaved up through your bones,
Thirsting for truth
She'll taste on her own.
Above the tide encroaching below,
This is the plague of life.

Dreaming About Death
Fingers
Wipe away my tired tears
With hands that are not mine
Gripping
Idle and cold pages
Dressed in forget-me-nots
Steady
Thoughtless like ash in jars
As I sink into doomed glee:
Why am I awake dreaming about Death?

Stowaway
Crawl to see, feel the room
To nest among your blues
Limbs adapting to the groove
Tonight I feel out of place
We bide and hibernate
A stowaway on their train
Crazed, eyes like the moon
Half dark, half aloof
Who is trapped, me or you?
Your pupils grow real close
Close enough to know what you are
Are all these secrets that you keep
Worth losing yourself intimately?
I hate this part the most
The blade is never fine enough
Are all these secrets that you keep
Worth losing me all...
To nest among your blues

Oceans Of Orchid Ruin
Weaving between echoes
Ripples that wash us away
Oceans of orchid ruin
And I can still recall
Anomalous fingers
Noxious sting which now lingers
Latching onto every word
Catching us as we fall
Learned to play the strings
Dollish broken things
We do what we have to, to survive this
And I can still see
Glimpsed eternity
This burning bridge I failed to let go of
I can feel cold shadows
Tainting our last embrace
Your warmth starts turning hollow
As they hide your face
I press on searching for...

A Libra's Musings
Taurus, Aries, Libra, Cancer
Mars, Venus, earth, fire
Vexing cardinal disaster
Moon, air and water
Drifting on this starry night
Fellow Venus beyond reprieve
Taurus awake fixed on a mountain
Cannot escape from sadness within
Turning the page, sips from a fountain
Silly mistakes carving skin again
Seeking to keep up in pace

Hygge (Wishing On A Well)
This mirror once empty
Stares back faintly
But who are you?
Pale writhing creature
From the clutches of midnight
A fiend courting darkness
Like clockwork the cracks progress
As each wall shifts to a different place
While something breathing out and in keeps drawing near
Run, it's not just you and I around here
As we hush ourselves away
In glass castles on display
High above the world
Whispers in flame unfurl

Where songs sleep barely alive

Your Thorn
Love, gemstone which bleeds
Purrs like a virus
Without solution
Rust flowered in weeds
Moreish divergent
You are pollution
Flushed remains of me
Wash me, bitter end
Sunrise, rise again
Rotting confusion
Stillness grasps the air
In sickness now bound
As fair as black seas
As cold as dark needs
Your thorn as you breathe
Grant me conclusion.

Piscivorus
I've been here before
Another face among the kelp
Cold on the surface
No confessions, deluge-no help
Stuck moaning like a masochist
Grinning through my eyes
Lips impassioned, by infection
Prize of my obsession
Spent eons in and out of this
Assistance never arrived
So we hide this, starving visage
Preserved by poor perceptions
We are turning a passage:
The caress of rain, transformation begun
I will savor all I incur
Nothing can stop me if I'm drowning in words.

I can still remember
I can still recall
I still taste smoke, embers
Pressed up against my skull
Sometimes I refuse you
Sometimes we just lie
Other times they intrude
Serving themselves a slice
Stopped counting my lessons
Stopped courting disease
I'll stop when the reasons
Lose color like the leaves
I can still remember
I can still recall
My heart's locked in Winter
While my mind's lost in Fall
Never could be certain
Never could be found
I'll never be the same

Become Rain
Flushed in dust, drowned by doubts
Fucking up, out of bounds
I'm not here for your chemicals
Original will not sate me
We are insane, intimately
Every grave is a different me
Flew so blind, touched the sun
Burned alive and so what?
Frozen unrecognizable
Biblical like an effigy
Playing with chains you'll find they bleed
Built piece by piece now are a part of me
Become rain, then swallow
We are insane, hollow
Sick from your two-faced miracles
Curable does not describe me
Tricks disguised as serenity ...

Another moon is waning thin
Prancing on your heart
Not to be found, you're lost again
Tripping at the start
Wretched road refusing to bend
Shadows in the dark
Swirling they howl, beckon your end
Violent they shark
Scorched within doubt looping and spent

Memento
Forged from sorrows of yesterdays
Another implant is failing
Another memento reused, gray
Replacing parts we are missing
Bound together
Chasing ourselves just to lose us all
Storms we weather
Will come to pass when our past is dead
Forewarned by lessons of our plague
Whatever cold left is shrieking
Whatever passion remaining breaks
Like a fever tamed now peaking.
