POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
The product of too many shots of whiskey, I aim to please the senses and linger in your taste buds, leaving you drunk on my words.
Hell Out Of The Closet
She shivers and shakes as she hides behind the coats hanging in the closet,
Wishing for escape, wishing for safety from the monster, the mother, her own.
She sits clinging to her knees held to her chest, rocking back and forth, hoping her mother has left.
Praying to a God she can't anymore believe exists, she Holds the razor between her two lips.
She rolls her sleeve up to her elbow, carves in her skin as if pen to paper, one simple word in blood from her flesh, Help! As if she giveth a sacrifice.
As if that word if her mother found her would save her life.

The Burns of Vanity Lost
She picks at the scabs on her hands, what remained of her burns.
She sits in silence, seeing no beauty in the scars littering her face.
Of herself she found not a trace.
She yells from her darkened soul,
At Gods she no longer believes in,
For how can a God be so cruel?
How could God be such a stubborn mule?
A week ago the life she knew was severed,
Bits and pieces of what happened are all she can remember.
Him dressed in black...set fire...with a match...
The fire it had rose and grew, as she slept to keep her beauty intact.
She awoke...

I Sit and Watch
I sit and watch the hours pass,
Time ticks by like sand from an hourglass.
The clock strikes twelve, the end is near,
the darkness the shadows my only fear.
My eyes grow heavy,
my body cold,
I'm much to young
to feel this old.
Life is to short,
much to young,
Enough is Enough
I'm done.
I'll take my secrets,
take my life,
Beyond the pain the tears and my doubts,
a voice so familiar shouts...
"This isn't right,
this isn't it,
come back,fight,
give life another try,
this isn't...

A Demons Delight
The feel of death set on her lips,
The kiss of death she could hardly resist.
Kissed by the wits of the sorcerers curse.
The taste of deceit,
sweet release,
The burn of lustful rage sets in the eyes of the fire,
The body craves,
what mystery lies in wait,
somewhere between the shadows, the darkness a thirsty fate.
The hunger prevails,
Ashes rise to the fright set in the prisoners eyes.
Unmasked, Unveiled the wings spread and she captures him in her treacherous web.
The Red moon sets as she tangles and turns,
mangles and...

How Did You Get There?
Every day I wake with you on my mind,
At times I wonder how you got there.
How is it when I hear your voice, words are lost on my lips,
How is it you make me feel like this?
You speak
and my heart sinks,
I lose all since of time,
when your eyes are held within mine.
I feel frozen,
my mind held in the words slipping from your tongue.
With you I am bare,
with you my heart skips a beat,
With you my knees grow weak.
Every time you speak,
Every time you look at me,
I photograph the moment,
the beat and the words, ...

Silhouettes
The moon sets heavy in the sky as the princess's tears fell through the castles cracked floor pouring down unto the spot in which I stood frozen looking at your silhouette dancing across the sky, casting its reflection in the brightly lit water.
An ache in my chest shakes me from my imagination and you stand before me, an angel without wings, the glow of lanterns seemed to illuminate off your skin bouncing fireflies across my eyes,
You took my hands in yours and it was as if lightning struck me ten thousand times, as I stood lips parted in shock.

His Book
She runs her fingertips along his binding,
Savoring the innocence of the unknown,
Naive to what laid within, scrawled on his dusty pages.
She carefully opens his battered covers,
But turns from the scrawled script,
Peering through the corner of her eyes the words are blurred to her vision,
Unsure she wants to know what lies scrawled on the pages in blood stained ink.
She turns her eyes running her hand over the page without reading,
Caressing it as though her fingers are pressed to his skin.
Silently savoring her ignorance of the unknown.

Pinch Myself, Not Dreaming
I follow his voice along a dark corridor,
feeling my way against the wall,
Where was he?
The more I followed the farther still his voice seemed,
Pinch myself,clearly not a dream.
I stop, clinging tightly to the cold damp wall,
Silence was all I heard carried with the breeze coming from some unseen crack or crevice,
a window maybe?
Perhaps it was a door.
I listened until his voice flowed back to my ears and than I followed once more.
Pinch myself again, clearly not a dream.
Feeling along the wall blind in the pitch black...

Pinch myself,clearly not a dream.

My Insomniac Pen
Her head swarmed with her nightly hysterics, the other worldly entity taking over her sanity,
Cranial mishaps, lips jabbering hogwash, unable to stop, sound waves rush, crush my daydreams, possibilities of sleep, ripped apart at the seams.

Excuse my transgressions, my pen has no off button, my mind an outlet of endless debate, my ink concocted with rage, my thoughts spilling on page after page.
Excuse my frustrations, lustful sensations send chills down my spine, send spills through my pen, hottest of rhymes.
I Apologize for...

Her Shadow
She strikes a match and her shadow blows it out.
She walks,
her shadow clings to her back,
a burden she heavily carried,
forcing her head to turn towards the ground.
She smiled,
her shadow smacked her,
leaving her cheeks reddened
and her eyes full of tears.
She tried to rise above, her shadow tripped her.
She tried to see the bright side of a situation,
her shadow blinded that ability, showing her only the darkness.
A battle many fight, some win, others sadly lose.
The worst feeling in the world is wanting to...
