You Hurt Me
You hurt me
And I don’t know that I can stop
Stop thinking of you
Stop replaying those moments
That kiss…
You hurt me
But the feelings still linger
My heart still skips several beats
Your voice still makes me weak
That smile…
And I don’t know that I can stop

Do I GIve In
Do I give in?
To the thoughts that consume me
And threaten to ravage my mind
And leave me hopeless
And crying out for help.
Do I say no?
To the voices telling me
That I am not worth it
That I will never achieve anything
That my dreams will remain just that,
Dreams.
Do I continue to fight?
For a reality that seems elusive
For a peace that escapes me
For that one moment where it all goes away
For release.
To the thoughts that consume me
And threaten to ravage my mind
And leave me hopeless
And crying out for help.
Do I say no?
To the voices telling me

That I will never achieve anything
That my dreams will remain just that,

Do I continue to fight?

Thoughts of You
I struggle to find the words
I struggle to express
The way I feel about you
The feelings, in my heart, I caress.
I know you care about me,
I care about you too.
Day by day, hour by hour,
My thoughts are filled with you.
If I could tell you one thing,
If there is one thing you should know.
Is that my heart beats steadily for you.
From my heart, you will never go.

Quiet Hours
In the quiet hours of the darkness I lie
Contemplating, is this where it dies?
We promised to love, promised forever
What I should have done is say, never!
I cannot imagine what life would be
If I just walked away and let it be.
But I definitely cannot stay
To wrestle with this demon every day.
Sometimes its sunflowers and lilies in bloom
And other times I feel impending doom.
What do I do? It's so hard to know.
Do I stay, or do I go?
Contemplating, is this where it dies?

If I Tell You
If I tell you
You would leave
And then I’d be left in a void
With my thoughts of you.
I’d tell you,
But you’ll get annoyed.
I don’t want just now,
I want eternity
Your love,
To call you mine.
I’d ask you to stay,
But you’d probably decline.

To show you
What could be.
Holding
Caressing
Just you and me.
