In her newest
campaign move
She’s sporting
a vision
of shared passion
this time instead
streets filling with
dresses in red
She has ascended
preparing
for more than
special election
to rebuild her city
as angel of Baltimore

Populace Purple Party Platform Principles
First
that all
atonement
shall be made
for reserving
meritocracy
for only
mere white males
Second
that God
who moves
from party
to party
wherever
righteousness
is enacted
and wrongs are
corrected
shall not be
unduly infringed
in gatherings
business
charity
in honest reporting
Third
that bullies
are recognized
as weaker
and more vulnerable
than the elders
they abuse ...
that all

Catholic Crossing - Nicaragua’s Heart
Burning Churches
hunger-striking
leveling lives...
communism
has multiple faces
warring factions
hold each other down
Corporatism
a slavery
(facade for dreams
of true capitalism)
Where wealth
is sacrificed
for golden
parachutes
Naturally
other factions
will compete
providing
the illusion
in hope for change
The president tortures
the mob tortures back
and the biggest bully
doesn’t win
...

When Silence Falls
So dark you can’t
text your own hand
in front of your face
Will you remember
how to use
your silence
as power?
Freedom to speak
is the same as
freedom of silence
The negative spaces
amplify meaning
and purpose
So use everything
in it’s time and place
including the deafening
violence of silence
Rushing over
the roaring demands
filling everything
with meaningful
emptiness
powering the
extinction burst
of our enemies
text your own hand

Will you remember

Cancelled in Grey: a Nuanced Journey
Manufacturing
my own unique
reaction to
the woke wave
I said cure racism
by admitting
WE ALL
came from
black ancestors
in the cradle of
humanity
Thus obeying the
command of the Bible
“Honor thy mother and father”
AND THUS
curing racism!
Most of us have
our reasons
to be challenged
with work or friends
which is what makes
cancellation such
a big deal
as it bludgeons
our fragile efforts
...

he was lying
so I laughed
but then I felt bad
for laughing

running for re-election
against himself

fix it all
