Promises
I poured my heart into this poem, it took me about an hour to write and look over. I hope you enjoy.
These are all things I am feeling at this very moment. Some day soon I will also post this to my YouTube as a slam poem. My YouTube name is TheIdioticOtaku.
Promises.
I'm tired of them.
What is the point in making something that will always be broken in the end.
Promises are never kept, and if they are they aren't by anyone that I have ever met.
Promises are stupid.
Friendship is stupid.
Feelings are stupid.
What is the point when all they do is let...

Mystery
Sometimes I wonder, sometimes I know,
The mysteries that are hidden below.
Down in the shadows, the depths of the heart,
Never will the secrets ever depart.
They try to hide their pain so well,
Hoping that others never will tell.
They think they've done it, oh they do,
But done it not, will soon be true.
For in the shadow there is a light,
Now they see, it's time to fight.
Their life is worth it, why now do they know,
Wishing not to be in death's tow.
Do not doubt, do not fear,

Life
Life is confusing, right down to the dot,
You thought you knew pain, but maybe not.
Why did they leave, why did they stay,
Your life was never meant to be this way.
Down in the shadows they heard you cry,
Now you wonder why you even try.
They said they loved you, they said they cared,
But guess what darlin', life ain't fair.
One day you'll realize life wasn't that bad,
As it ended then like you wished it had.
If you could've seen what the future would hold,
Maybe you would've listened to what...

Night
Darkness floods the endless night,
As your body fills with fright.
Crackling noises come from afar,
You fret as you tremble, evading spar.
Your heartbeat quickens, as does your step,
Hopefully you will not regret.
For you shouldn't have gone out into this,
But the events you just could not miss.
Love draws you near,
Hope and pray, do not fear.
For the noises you hear will not consume,
Do not worry child, tonight will not be your doom.
As your body fills with fright.

Freedom
Now you're standing on the edge,
Walk forward just one more step.
Fly away just like a bird,
Forget those rumors that you heard.
They don't know a single thing,
Spread your arms just like they're wings.
Feel the wind blow through your hair,
You are no longer in despair.
Look up at the beautiful sky,
Fear not of when you will die.
Unexpected your end will be,
Your life is over, you are free.

Shadows
Beyond the shadows there is a light,
Brighter than day, but darker than night.
You try and try but you cannot reach,
Shadows overwhelm you, there is a breach.
You go into a panic, from no return,
Your soul is scattered as they bust the earn.
Your spirit wanders, looking for sight,
No, you say, this cannot be right.
The angels comfort, for don't you worry,
The people who did this will be sorry.
For they have been placed upon death's list,
They no longer can hurt people who will be missed.

Lucem Vitae
The sun light gleams in,
Life and it's beauty unforsaken.
Sparkling constelations, high in the sky,
As you can see the end is not nigh.
For you have come, in the nick of time,
Saved me from all of life's horrible rhymes.
Watch as all the petals drop,
I do not care if you love me or not.
As long as I love you,
You do not have to love me too.
So say farewell, oh don't fight.
Sleep well my love, Goodnight.
Life and it's beauty unforsaken.

Forgive me, forgive me not,
Time is ticking on the clock.
For life is not prolonged,
You have little time before you fall.
You're wasting time dragging this on,
What did I do that was so wrong?
I said I loved you and I truly do,

Night (the sonnet)
The night surrounds us as if it's not there
The darkness so frightening you do fear
Secrets you told them that you should not share
The noises you cannot explain you hear
You try and try to not meet your demise
Your face is wet with the tears that you hide
Do not worry they cannot hear your cries
Water rushing down just like a high tide
Just sit there my dear among the shadows
Just close your eyes and let the water flow
It is just as deep as it is shallow
It is okay that you did not let show...
