POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Being self-centered is where balance is lost and you with it... -ed
-aniexty (the lost Siren)
I've died within the same absence of memory
countless times, lured in and suffocated by silent
screams, like some haunted remnant from the cries
of lost Siren, who had somehow strayed far enough
from home to become victims of their own deceit
left to sing their heretic melodies with the souls
of unsung sailors who have long tried to convince
themselves that the wreckage in the outgoing tide
didn't really mean they'd never return with the goods......

-nobody's fool
She's nobody's fool
only truth can find
it's way behind those
emerald eyes and into
her stoic heart
and if she can't have that
solitude is still a happy
place, if it's the only way
she can remember what it's
like to feel alive again
having died too many times
in the past for the happiness
of others, it's her turn to live
like tomorrow's hers to rediscover
that she's much more than just
an object with a pretty face ...

-tentative horizons
I've always been taken by how daylight gathers
in the corners of your sublime smile
like it was inspired by the essence
of every forgotten sunrise that had given its all
in an effort to redefine the early morning sky
and I adore how you always mean well
even when you say you don't, just so
you can keep up the facade of some bad girl
one would never feel comfortable taking home
to their mother, in order to hide that fear no one
knows you live with, or so you've always thought
up until...

-no sign of life
most of us never look up at the sky long enough
to see what we really are
and even those of us that do
unfortunately tend to forget more of the good stuff
than we remember...
between questioning ourselves about things
our heart of hearts has always known were untrue
yet still giving them more credit than necessary
every chance we could find a reason
any old reason...
as if we couldn't remember how we felt alone
and like fools for not saying hello, goodbye
I'm sorry, or Iove you, despite the fact...
to see what we really are
and even those of us that do
unfortunately tend to forget more of the good stuff

since my new philosophy on life
I've had lots of great experiences;
learning the importance of being kind
and having love for all living things
on a deeper level is a true gift...
and even though I was told I would
feel more alienated and different
from a large portion of society
which is something I'm used to anyway
I'm finding it more difficult to
deal with than ever......

-it's not a gift, it's a curse
I have this gift for knowing things I shouldn't
about people, about life, about the way the sky
sometimes smirks in memorium of opportunities
that lost validity with every whimsical breeze in an
effort to answer questions I kept asking myself
until they fit into the puzzle the way I imagined...
like manufactured lies I told without guilt in order
to believe in what I had never seen before and in
fairy tales written so children could dream that even
the impossible was no obstacle, as long as you knew ...

-how to love yourself
We're always told to love ourselves, but rarely how. If you want to learn to love yourself more as so many of us need to, learn to love every living thing equally as we are all the same.
Not so long ago I would've told you that I hate Donald Trump. I no longer hate him, or any man, I love him, as that's what he needs, rather than the love he thinks he gets from serving money and his ego. People like him need love the most.
Loving someone and liking them are two different things, so no matter who you may seem to dislike on this planet, remember to love them...

-SEDONA
I visited this vortex in my mind
with help from an old friend
water, present, and sky were
my place to find new beginnings
I swam the waters to be cleaned
brothers and sisters welcomed
me, bathed me, and held my hand
I was never scared as I shivered
and cried, what a joy to be home
Then there was the present where
I walked for awhile kicking the
stones and dust from bed and mind
it was time for...

The lesson I've been learning is how not to serve ego and to let it fall away. It is not my place to tell others their words, but for them to find alone, as I have...

I waited for her to come and when she finally did she introduced herself with a handshake and said a name that was not her own,
because I wasn't ready yet...
