POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Slowly Fading
Like shimmering streams of refracted light
Shattered beneath the surface of a trickling brook
I am broken
Like the frothy, crashing waves
Trapped beneath, spiraling with forceful currents
I am drowning
Like the wilting, crimson rose
Withering away in the summer heat
I am dying
My colors fading.
My smile cracking.
Slowly Fading
Like the crackling thunder
And flashing lightening
My life split.
Like the falling autumn leaf
Floating down towards oblivion
I am falling
Like the melting...

How?
How can a heart be so full of love,
Yet feel immense pain?
The same that an ocean is full,
Yet also feels so empty
The way that the sun shines,
But the air so chilling
Or the rose so beautiful,
But thorns so deadly
How can a woman be so captivating,
Yet cause you to run the opposite way?
The same that a child be so sweet,
Yet cause stress and no sleep
The way that the soft cadent voice
Also be stern and forceful
Or the pristine eyes
That sheds so many tears
How can one say “I love you”
Yet be the one who leaves you?...
Yet feel immense pain?
The same that an ocean is full,
Yet also feels so empty
The way that the sun shines,
But the air so chilling
Or the rose so beautiful,

Eyes
Gleaming and glittering with the brilliance of stars,
Or glistening and glowing like green emeralds,
Some shimmering and rippling like the crystal blue ocean,
Others still and mysterious like the dark gray clouds of a thunder storm
And some ever changing
All pieces to the stained glass window of the soul
Swimming with the ghosts of the past,
Or shining with the wishes of the future
Revealing emotional scars
And hidden secrets
A communication
That uses no noise,
no words,
or sound
The lover’s lust
And the mothers love

Human
Who are we to judge?
The worth of a soul
We are mere inklings
Blips on and endless map of nothingness
The universe around us forever expanding
An infinite space
And yet we think we are the mightier
Who am I to judge?
Man by his looks?
By his bank account?
Woman by her figure?
By her voice?
I am the same
Human
I bleed red
The same as all
Who are they to judge?
Me by my size
By interests
Beauty fades to wrinkles
Silken hair to silver gray
Morals and personality
Remain concrete throughout the...

Falling Star
A twinkling diamond
Caught between two cosmic gods
Dawn is nearing, signaling the inevitable
She must go, and hide, until the inky darkness returns.
Until she may rest upon the charcoal canvas of night
But she will not give in.
She wants to be with the forbidden
His glory cracks the sky,
But she does not waver.
She hangs in the middle of her longing moon, and bright new sun
He is burning with red, hot passion,
And the latter, glowing with soft romance
Both perfect
She feels herself pulling,
back to the sheath of darkness
And feels...

The Dreamer
I dream dreams of fog
Some nights, so thick
Breathing is impossible
Drowning in condensed Dihydrogen Monoxide
Some nights thin
Like the hovering mist
Rising above the morning ground
Filling my nostrils
With the sweet smell of dew
I dream dreams of gold
Some nights so bright
Seeing is disabled
Astonishing my humble self
Some nights of Pyrite
Fooling my ambitious self
Thinking I am wealthy
When what I have
Is nothing
I want the stars
But realize
The moon is all I may get
Humbled and Thankful...
