POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I don't fall under any label, I like to write about everything and anything. Draw my inspiration from God and the the world around me. I like to write about God, the devil, supernatural to everyday things.
Down Cast Dagda
Dagda hangs his head,
he has lost his crown,
his antlers.
Dagda hangs his head
in defeat.
He is old, and tired.
He is tired of raging war
against God,
the God of Israel.
He is tired of living a lie.
The spirit knows he is no god
and he can't compete against
the LORD.
Dagda said to his heart,
"Maybe it is time
for me to return
to the burial mound
into the earth,
make way for Christ
to come to Erin.
he has lost his crown,
his antlers.
Dagda hangs his head
in defeat.
He is old, and tired.
He is tired of raging war
against God,
the God of Israel.
He is tired of living a lie.
The spirit knows he is no god
and he can't compete against
the LORD.
Dagda said to his heart,
"Maybe it is time
for me to return
to the burial mound
into the earth,
make way for Christ
to come to Erin.

Who is this man, Patrick?
Who is this man?
He, who once was a boy,
a slave.
The one who escaped
and now returns
as a man,
as a missionary?
Who is this man?
He, who once was
a slave
but returns to his old master,
with his strange ideas,
about love, salvation,
redemption and forgiveness
and his foreign god.
He must be mad!
Who is this man?
He, who drives away
the snakes
from out of Eire,
he, who drives away
our gods into the shadows.
He, who once was a boy,
a slave.
The one who escaped
and now returns
as a man,
as a missionary?
Who is this man?

Lost Voice of the Irish
Parade in green
March in green.
The beers, the parties
and the greens.
Revered the Day
but not the Saint.
The world, the people forgotten
their past.
The sons forgotten the faces
of their fathers.
They have forsaken them.
And yet, some of us have not.
We remember our Great Great Grandmother's stories.
Her voice is always with us,
whispering in our ears.
We have become the lost voice
of the Irish.
Her stories were no fairytales
---there were no leprechauns
or banshees.
If the Ladies of the fay
were...

I Forsake My Forefather's Gods
I forsake you Dagda
you are no longer my father,
my god.
I forsake you Donn
you lost your power, your sting,
I am not afraid of your druids,
nor of death.
Get behind me Oenghus,
I no longer love you.
Oghma, I burn down your
writings,
may you be forgotten.
I forsake you Lug
you are no light
to the world,
you are darkness
and so shall I bury your altars
and shrines, my you live in darkness.
Nuadu, you are no longer
my god, my king
you lost your crown,
I now serve and worshipped a new...
you are no longer my father,
my god.
I forsake you Donn
you lost your power, your sting,

How Fairies Came To Ireland
When Lucifer brought down
the third of heavens host,,
a third of his army repented,
these angels felt sorry
and were full of sorrow.
So the Lord
didn't cast them
into hell
but threw the sorrowful angels
to earth.
Where they landed,
they are bounded
on the earth
under the earth.
Some of them professed
to be gods
and others remained sorrowfully silent.

Snowflakes
Snowflakes,
billion fallen stars
against the inky obyss
of night.
Was that what it
was like,
when Lucifer drags
down one third
of heaven
with him down to hell?
Snow crystals,
glissening like diamonds,
dangerous daggers
falling against the inky blackness
of night.
billion fallen stars
against the inky obyss
of night.
Was that what it

Blessed
I am blessed
to have a mom.
To see her face,
it was the sun,
to hear her voice
it was music.
I remembered
when I was little,
she would carry me
And when I did something
for her,
her face would light up.
I missed your smiles
mom.
I am blessed
to have a mom.
to have a mom.
To see her face,
it was the sun,
to hear her voice
it was music.
I remembered
when I was little,
she would carry me
And when I did something

her face would light up.
I missed your smiles
mom.
I am blessed
to have a mom.

RIP MOM
To my mom,
when I was born
you loved me,
you cared for me,
you did everything for me.
I am blessed
to have you in my life,
you are my life.
You are my breath.
Long before I was formed,
years before I was born,
I was your dream,
and it came true.
You clothed me
when I was naked,
you keep me warm
when I was cold.
When I was thirsty
you gave me something
to drink,
when I was hungry
you fed me.
I did nothing
for you but you loved me
unconditionally.
And all you wanted ...
when I was born
you loved me,
you cared for me,
you did everything for me.
I am blessed
to have you in my life,
you are my life.
You are my breath.
Long before I was formed,

A Face Among the Flowers
They are like flowers
of the valley,
so many beautiful faces.
And yet I am only drawn
to her.
Out of all dazzling stars
and the heavenly angels,
she out shines
them all.
They are just a dream
and she is real.
of the valley,
so many beautiful faces.
And yet I am only drawn
to her.
Out of all dazzling stars
and the heavenly angels,
she out shines
them all.
They are just a dream
and she is real.

Good Night, My Love
Good night,
my love,
my queen,
may i find you
someday
maybe tomorrow
and in the night.
May the sun shine
down upon you
and the moon
smile at you
and the stars
keep a watchful eye
on you.
Good night,
my love,
my queen,
may I find you someday
maybe tomorrow night.
