50 Words or Less
It is quite an endevour to compose
A poem that is fifty words or less, and
Have it be a meaningful work. Try it
With fifty syllables or less, my friend.
You will find it to be not so easy.
A poem that is fifty words or less, and

With fifty syllables or less, my friend.

“Little red balloon”
Little red balloon
Flowing through the air
With not a care
In the world,
Moving only where-ever the
Wind blows it
No restrictions by society,
It moves gracefully
No one telling it what it may do
Flying like a bird
But only seen, not heard.
It lives
By the wind
Up in the sky,
Falling towards the ground
When it starts to die.
But while it lives
No one catches it.
When gone from the balloon is life
Then it lands...

“Ghosts of the Past”
I sit here tonight,
Very few familiar faces that I see.
Unknown eyes come with my sight,
But few stare back at me.
I am haunted by ghosts of the past,
Ghosts of things that once were,
Things that were built to last,
But – alas – no longer occur.
I used to be with my friends
All the time,
But slowly that ends,
By and by, drip by drip, leaving only grime
And a residue of what used to be.
Struggling to hold onto the past,
Hoping that things will go against the constant,
But that is not meant to be.
All things change, sometimes...
Very few familiar faces that I see.

“Sitting in the Corner of the Room”
Periods of lucidity amongst thoughts of violence
No one listens to me and no one cares
What I have to say I need a vacation because
My sanity is slipping more than it ever has before
I do not know how much longer I can control
The urges that dwell within me I need
To be locked away with the Key thrown
Away so that I can no longer escape I
Am a danger to myself and others
Sisters fathers husbands mothers wives sisters brothers
I am a danger to them all there is no catharsis
Here with this pen to paper there is just expression
Of my compression of...

“Overdrive”
Caffeine
Overdrive
Makes me feel
Very alive.
My pulse starts racing,
My mind
Starts pacing.
I don’t know
What to do
To slow
It down.
Adrenaline surges in
My system
Again and again
And I enjoy the way –
It makes me feel
This child of May –
Thoughts are jumbled
Some are humbled
While others are crumbled
As they try to keep up
With my heightened mind.
A not so easy feat

“My Lady Love”
One woman
Has took my heart.
One woman
Has took my heart.
She is a beauty
Says me,
A beauty be she.
What is her name?
I know that not,
But I shall soon
With the help of my great mentality.
The woman
Who took my heart
Is named Ashley,
And she is the woman who I want to be
With all my life:
I her husband; she my wife.
Her beautiful body is so tan
From her head to her feet:
That is what makes me her biggest fan.
She is so silent and so sweet.
I love her more than
I love food even.
I want to...
Has took my heart.

Has took my heart.

“Now I am Not”
I was in love with you,
But now I am not.
I gave my heart to you,
But it was not worth a lot,
So you tore it up 5
Instead of giving it back.
I wanted you,
Nothing did you lack.
So maybe I should give you
A medal or a plack. 10
I was in love with you,
But now I am not.
I wanted to belong to you,
But that I have forgot;
For you are not mine, 15
And to that I just say, “Fine.”
I was in love with you,
But now I am not.
The only problem is
I still think you are...
But now I am not.
I gave my heart to you,
But it was not worth a lot,
So you tore it up 5
Instead of giving it back.
I wanted you,
Nothing did you lack.
So maybe I should give you
A medal or a plack. 10

“Me (The New Version)”
Me
I am me
Some one
Who knows many things
Of little meaning. 5
I
Be the type of guy
That makes others laugh
Sometimes
At what I say to them 10
I
Be someone
Who lets nothing make him mad or sad,
But lets everything that caN make him glad, glad.
Me 15
I am me
5’5, brown hair, blue eyes,
The leastest greatest teen boy alive,
Who happens to think you
Are a very cute girl. 20
I am me
Some one
Who knows many things
Of little meaning. 5
I
Be the type of guy
That makes others laugh

“In Another Life”
In another life
I would still want you to be my wife
And we would be together
Through any pain or strife
You belong to another
I wanted you as mine
But you belong to some brother
Who might just deserve you
As I do
In another life
You may be mine
So I will just have to wait in line
To be yours
I do not mind
I would still want you to be my wife
And we would be together
Through any pain or strife
You belong to another
I wanted you as mine
But you belong to some brother
Who might just deserve you
As I do
In another life
You may be mine
So I will just have to wait in line
To be yours
I do not mind

“I look at you”
I look at you and what do I see?
A woman who looks so good to me.
A woman so sexy, so very hot.
I know that with this ugly face I got,
I could never get her to be mine, 5
Because I know she is very fine.
Like wine ye be
So sweet, says me
You’re smart; my heart
Hopes we don’t part. 10
My genius is not as great as yours
Your smile opens all my nailed shut doors
That keeps me from the expressions
Of my wonderful emotions
That I get when I see your face, 15
Which sends my heart into a pace....
A woman who looks so good to me.
A woman so sexy, so very hot.
I know that with this ugly face I got,
I could never get her to be mine, 5
Because I know she is very fine.
Like wine ye be
