Scorching fire from your tongue
Waterfalls pour from kingdom come
Lightning strikes from your core
The roots of my soul are destroyed

Yet in the light of day
I stay by your side, a pet at bay
You commit a sin on a daily basis

In the cold whisp of the winters breeze
Stands a rose in solitude, forever at ease
The petals no longer pink but whitish pale
Its stem, thorny and icy.
Its buds, rotted to hell.
