We only kick it in fresh linens
Listen,
if stars are lit
it means - there is someone who needs it.
- Vladimir Mayakovsky
blinkt the blight'd earth,
like a monocle to my sightless eye beside
til vision ga-ga-goes
proceeding\receding,
guffawing sweet night away.
And ah! mine sore eyes of placid glass
being all I sea-saw seeing this morn
/ twisting ju't ou'side
the window\&her frame
like silk in the barb'd-
wire verse
tittering loose winds away.

youth with an arrow
Amongst human faces moved
The inhuman pallor of the moon
Hover'd in silence, an eternity low
To grieve in pursuit of possession so
To see thee pried wide in living day and woeful dark
To hold all your great share of endless pain and more
And keep safe from fiercest love or foe.
Perhaps in distant Heaven there is a care, but here
No righteous banners upon these winds do dare;
Here compassion is naught but mercenary,
Though Lord knows at times I tried
To fly as eagles fly
But I died & died

Danaë
OH Danaë O!
She whose fair form doth list in melancholic loveliness,
and whose tender lips so far from mine still rest
beyond mountains bound, or vaults of bronze,
beyond oceans, moors, and more,
but ah! dumb-struck me still,
by the light of several sundered moons,
as if from the sky great javelins fell
and pinned my wayward heart to the floor.
And what a parallel Heaven
only fine decorum knows!
in shell-beds of white rose
(oh most lofty pulse aloud, please do quiet now! )
nay! rebounds and shouts as spirits swell,
and fall the...

Little Star
And Thee, Little Star,
Dearest to me, I have loved most and greatest of all,
More than all these words unworthy,
or this world unworthy, or all my life itself by far.
Thee, the cherished weight and measure of my soul,
Strength of my body and mind
In hours short, dark, sweet, harsh, or long.
Do, darling, glow and do, O, shine on Little Star,
Light of my heart and brightest in all the livelong sky
And all and all and all
And on and on

O Pacific Night
O Wild Nights!
Pacific Nights we've known so well;
How the winds whirled against me, Oh Emily,
but still, you should have seen
all the sky alight,
in a momentary peace,
lit by Christmas trees,
auroras of neon, and stars bright,
and the boundless energies
of young hearts free,
for a small ricochet in time.
and stood I in the half-depths of that electric sea,

Early morning impromptu abstract
Here we stick in flyleaf unscrupulous whiteness
here none the things works as they worked once.
forkedt tongue in ear stabs slowly slow
and cocks no clocks and charts few balms
right on course
for my wounds or yours/
OH Lovely Love
You being as such
which blitzkreigs my heart
though I hold no lanterns nor torches
high to curl within your softness
which swells and sways still and still and still
to best beset and bestill
mine uncertain quiver of a mouth
OH thou'st Thou./// ...

Wander Dark the Fallen Night
Wander Dark the Fallen Night /
Festooned in Firelight
ONCE, when the world was mean and small
And I wandered in wonder of it all,
And heard I a desperate cry come down
Thru the thickets near and far.
And heard Scavengers in the mist spinning round,
And felt all the stone weight of the true dead that they've known
Slit the sky and like arrows fell
Over the night and all it holds.
And drifted lone thru clouds black, white, blue, and more
And wondered as he wander'd places dark and cold
And on small feet chased the...

in which i briefly consider a career as a forger of Thomas Chatterton poems
...Mie love ys dedde,
Gon to hys death-bedde,
Al under the wyllowe tree.”
- Thomas Chatterton, AElla, a Tragical Interlude
.
the sun was gleaming in middle of black night,
and the heart thinks....
the heart say...it is much too early for these capers; alas the heart
testifies nothing of import.
& O staunch not, noble Son, my strange blood!
that yearns only to see beyond,
beyond...beyond...
the dirt trench of my body-song;
for azure is the sky, stretched without end in sight,
and witless...

Alexipharmic
Alexipharmik,
or the forgetter in the tower////
[ alexipharmic in the morning
t' make the Sunlight smooth and warming,
uh-lek-suh-FAHR-mik in the evening
to speed time away forever ]
We who art gathered here today !
in our victim-hood /and coats of perpetual adolescence ;
we who art shriveled askew/ skewered feverish upon
the octagonal earth
who art...

do not thee alone in shadow dwell
Do not thee alone in shadow dwell
O One and Honest Heart,
Nor set your sails far beyond
And to nothingness do fall.
Do not in darkness linger long, I pray,
Where no guiding light may hail
Lest to slip, scored and pale,
And into nothingness do crawl.
Sing aloud a misty tune, if need, and dance
On moonlight o'er palsied ground
Where we are small passing fancies, perhaps,
But real as all life spinning 'round.
Much more than what is caught and lost in a glance,
or spied
Wide-eyed thru the crowd.
