POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
WORDS OF SILENCE
Give me your quill, sweet lady, and I will write to you
Words of love that only you know
Secrets whispered in the depths of the soul
Thoughts hidden under a soft flame
I will write you verses woven from silence
Where each word dances with innocence
Secrets that my heart carries in silence
Words of love that only you know
Secrets whispered in the depths of the soul
Thoughts hidden under a soft flame
I will write you verses woven from silence
Where each word dances with innocence
Secrets that my heart carries in silence

REMEMBER
Remember our engraved words
In the time where nothing can erase
Forever engraved in the echo of our hearts
In the heart of the light, they shine
They still resonate in the shadow of time.
In the time where nothing can erase
Forever engraved in the echo of our hearts
In the heart of the light, they shine
They still resonate in the shadow of time.

IT WASN'T RAIN
It wasn't rain
But bitter tears
Of a past
Of torment
That her heart had split in two
Then he came along
Than to wet his clothes
He didn't fear a single minute
And from this land
Full of debris
He lifted her up
Do you love me my love?
Woman
With a restless soul
I love you
Very much
But bitter tears
Of a past
Of torment
That her heart had split in two
Then he came along
Than to wet his clothes
He didn't fear a single minute
And from this land
Full of debris
He lifted her up
Do you love me my love?
Woman
With a restless soul
I love you
Very much

THE ONE THAT WRITES POETRY
We liked to play
Like that time
You hid your hands
Behind your back:
⁃ “Tell me which one you want?”
⁃ “The one that writes poetry.”
And you slipped into my life.
Like that time
You hid your hands
Behind your back:
⁃ “Tell me which one you want?”
⁃ “The one that writes poetry.”
And you slipped into my life.

WINTERS TEETH
Winter's teeth.
The wind is a harp
Of resin and timber.
I watch from the shore
Listening to your absence,
Soundless.
The wind is a harp
Of resin and timber.
I watch from the shore
Listening to your absence,
Soundless.

CLOUDS
I often find myself in the clouds
She calls me in a foggy voice
Mysterious and silent
She dances through my thoughts
She watches, soft and impalpable
In your glow I want to be silent
Come back to haunt my nights again
Before dawn forgets you.
She calls me in a foggy voice
Mysterious and silent
She dances through my thoughts
She watches, soft and impalpable
In your glow I want to be silent
Come back to haunt my nights again
Before dawn forgets you.

SHADOWS OF THE RAIN
I SLIPPED INTO THE DARKNESS
THERE WERE NO VOICES THERE
BEFORE MY EYES WERE PLUCKED
I SAW YOU WERE NOT THERE
ONLY THE SHADOWS OF THE RAIN
ONLY THE SHADOWS OF MY PAIN
I, WHO KNEW THE MYSTERIES OF FLESH
SPLIT APART WITH FEAR
YOU, WHO IS MY LOVE
DID NOT CALL ME NEAR
TO LISTEN TO THE OCEAN ON YOUR SHORE
TO WEAR YOUR SKIN AGAIN ONCE MORE
THERE WERE NO VOICES THERE
BEFORE MY EYES WERE PLUCKED
I SAW YOU WERE NOT THERE
ONLY THE SHADOWS OF THE RAIN
ONLY THE SHADOWS OF MY PAIN
I, WHO KNEW THE MYSTERIES OF FLESH
SPLIT APART WITH FEAR
YOU, WHO IS MY LOVE
DID NOT CALL ME NEAR
TO LISTEN TO THE OCEAN ON YOUR SHORE
TO WEAR YOUR SKIN AGAIN ONCE MORE

THE SHORELINE
The big log trucks used to load here
Right outside my door
I can still hear the noontime whistle
Kids don’t get wind of that anymore
Down along the shoreline
Where the tugboats used to haul
The silence is almost deafening
The only sound remaining
Is the lonesome seagull call
Right outside my door
I can still hear the noontime whistle
Kids don’t get wind of that anymore
Down along the shoreline
Where the tugboats used to haul
The silence is almost deafening
The only sound remaining
Is the lonesome seagull call
