The Grand Old Tree and the Little Flower
Dear Reader ... This is the fifth story out of a seven story series ... perhaps I shall publish the rest in the future.
Today was a most beautiful summer day with the sun shinning and the flowers in our front yard looking most beautiful. However I was anxious for the sun to set so I could see what special journey Grandfather might have for me tonight. No sooner than I had climbed into my bed and closed my eyes than the Victorian house appeared in the inner window of my vision. I scampered down the walkway and on to the porch, through the double front doors and up to the stairway...

The Trickster Mind
The trickster mind has many faces
Just like an illusionist or mime
In a circus or television show.
Some of his many faces are -
Boredom, restlessness, anger,
Lust, greed, attachment, and many more.
None of these faces (Illusions) are you.
What is you is the consciousness
That recognizes the faces
As illusions of the mind.
Once you know the game of the mind
You will never be tricked again
In believing these illusions are you.
Sant Kirpal Singh Ji has said.
"Mind is the agent of the negative power,
And it...
Just like an illusionist or mime

Blue Green Spaceship
It saddens me to see and hear
The way our beautiful planet (Gaia)
Is being treated by her children.
Do you not know that the earth
Is a living entity
And deserves to be treated
With love and respect?
A Great Saint has said,
"A human being's greed knows no end -
Except in the grave."
Our greed for more and more -
More than we need, more than
We can ever use is destroying
Our beautiful blue green spaceship.
Dearest Seeker,
What have you done to better
Our beautiful blue green
Spaceship today?

Our culture has trained us
To win at all cost
Finish with Gold
No place for the lost.
Let silver and bronze

It's Just His Game
In today's scientific materialistic
World -
Many of the children say,
"They do not understand why
This creation exists."
Dearest Seeker,
Do you not see that this whole creation
Is His game,
His sport,
His enjoyment,
His love,
Its all Him.
For -
You are Him and He is you.
There are only two of you
That needs to unite as one.
All the rest -
Is His maya, His illusion.
So - Dearest Seeker.
Do not take life so seriously.
What you need to do is
Enter your temple
Within...
World -
Many of the children say,

Prayer to the Lord
I love you with all of my heart, all of my soul,
My entire mind and and all of my consciousness.
I love you with all of the atoms, molecules
And cells that make up this physical form -
Plus all of the empty space in-between.
Then -
I realized that all of this is you -
And -
Your love for me and my love for you
Is exactly the same love.
For -
We are one
And have always been so.

Doing and Being
Most focus on "Me"
"What should we do?"
Haven't a clue.
Activity, Activity,
Busy as bees -
Caught up in the world
Doing as we please.
Doing relates to
The body, the mind
Thinking and worrying
Caught up in time.
We need to reflect
"How should we be?"
Attentive and listening
Deep as the sea.
Receptive to God
Connected to soul
When senses and mind
Are under control.

Two Pathways
Life is composed of two pathways
One is the pathway of the mind
The other the pathway of God.
The Great Spiritual Masters have said,
"The solution for the thoughts
The mind sends us
Is to be able to separate
What thoughts are from God and the soul
And what thoughts are from the mind."

Olympic Opening
What impressed me most
From the parade of nations
At the XXX Olympic opening ceremonies -
When looking into the faces of the young athletes
Was the fact they could be living down the street from me
Here in the United States of America,
It made me realize that all people
No matter what country, religion, or culture
They are from
Are all brothers and sisters in the Lord.
Then I realized that all humanity is one family -
And that the love we give and receive in out family,
Our country, can be extended
To the entire human...

Not Worthy
Many an incarnation I have spent
Wandering among the realms of illusion -
Sometimes in the from of a God,
Other times
As insignificant as a blade of grass.
This day as I sit in meditation
O Holy One -
I see that I am not worthy
To even sit on your back door step -
But Please O Holy One
Save me anyway.

Coverings of Ignorance
Traveling the path of spirituality
When we learn something new
From the Master, in meditation,
Does He really teach us something new?
Or -
Does He remove one or two
Coverings of ignorance
To reveal what was there all along?
Sant Rajinder Singh Ji says,
"The soul watches the play of the world
From a place of peace and contentment.
It is in tune with God
And thus anger and violence
Are not a part of its consciousness."

How goes your travels
On the inner path today?
When we learn something new
