LOVE POEM

(I wrote this in honor of my nephew who passed away this morning...11-27-12)
First born, only son
His greatest battle
Was not won
We prayed for miracles
With all our might
And asked our angels
Please fight the fight
Young Daniels love
Will always remain
This amazing life
Was not in vain
To save his life
We'd pay the toll
A handsome man
A beautiful soul
Behind our eyes
We quietly weep
The pain, the anger
Ever so deep
As teardrops fall
Like the petals of a rose
Our love remains...
First born, only son

Morning Light
As darkness unfurls
Her head's a whirl
Can't sleep
Thoughts of him
Run ever so deep
Rolling round her head
Dark of night
Caress her
Cold lonely bed
Tears of loneliness
Her eyes so red
Roll down her cheek
Thoughts of him
To make her weak
She loves so strong
For him too much
She can't be wrong
Her hearts in pain
So sad, like rain
The tears roll down
No more a smile
Just beauty's lonely frown
She fights the night...
Come morning light
She'll be alright
Her head's a whirl
Can't sleep
Thoughts of him

Rolling round her head
Dark of night

Cold lonely bed

Need to breathe
Need to soar
His time to leave
This love's a chore
I want the laughter
Not the pain

Fade Away
Love and Life
Death and Dying
What's the point of even trying?
Surrounded by strife,
Negativity, and hate.
No more madness
Can my life take
I'm like a time bomb
Tick, tick, ticking away
May not be tomorrow
May not be today
I look above and kneel to pray
God help me not to think this way
Please just let me survive one more day
Please don't let me just fade away...
Death and Dying

Flightless Bird
I wish to be free
Like a bird
Fly far, and fast
Soak up the sun
Forget the past
Instead, I run
These wings won't last
My thoughts, my voice
They won't be heard
For, I am just

Broken
I close my eyes so tight
And pray with all my might
Help me do what should be
Help me do what's right
Love is all around me
But, love is out of sight
Shocked, and awe,
This thing...it cannot be
The closeness, is no more
We now, are miles apart
An empty shell...alone is me
The bond, has now been broken
We're no longer one of heart
Such angry words were spoken
Hurt feelings beyond repair
This wedge of HATE, the LIES
This twist of fate
Much more, I cannot bear
This life... I wish were over
And...
And pray with all my might
Help me do what should be

She's Awakened
For now I sit in this darkened cave.
Going through motions like a lifeless slave.
This marriage it holds me in a cage.
My heart so empty, so full of rage.
Waiting, longing, wanting...
My life's a blank page.
Till a memory re-appears
This man...this heart...to have...I must!
Quickly she's awakened by thoughts, and dreams to come.
Of lovers stolen moments, the cravings, the lust!
Barely a moment, long years past this pair did meet
Newly united her heart skipped a beat
As senses start to reel like a pornographic movie
Her lips pressed...
