POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Fill in the Blank
Paper dolls and fireflies
discarded lives and fleeting thoughts.
I wish I may, I wish I might
find broken things and see the light.
Wooden floors and powder puffs,
these echoing thoughts leave fingerprints
Of memories gone by the way,
full of regrets for yesterday.
Sugar tea and mosquito bites,
winter days leave a metallic taste.
Blood brothers fight amid a cry for peace,
tye dye curtains, starch to hold the crease.
Come back time! I have more to say!
I lost my tomorrow and yesterday!
I loved and lost and kicked and...
discarded lives and fleeting thoughts.
I wish I may, I wish I might
find broken things and see the light.

The Girl On The Scooter
/font]
She rode a little red scooter
All over this damn town.
She smoked and cussed and flipped the finger
To those who brought her down.
Her hair was red, her skin was fair,
Beautiful skin art popped with glee -
The Baptists cringed, the Church of Christ
preached Hell was meant to be.
Her soul was fine without them,
Her spirit safe and free -
Screw those anal Christians,
Her wild spirit was meant to be.

Cereal Killer
Cambodia had a dude, his name was Pol Pot,
Germany's Hitler had a soul of rot.
I felt really lucky with my serial killer Scott.
He wasn't so bad in a dark kind of way,
I snatched little naps while he was gone for the day.
He kept other killers and villains at bay.
He killed my neighbor with a lump of coal,
His calling card for his mean, evil soul
Was a cereal bowl....
He ran over Jim who owned the ice rink,
Strangled some kid who was really a fink -
Then kindly told me I looked pretty in pink.

The Old Lady
The old lady wandered off into the trees
lost 50lbs and got a scab on her knee.
Sticks in her hair and dirt on her nose,
She surely knows she doesn't smell like a rose.
A traveling stranger left her a handful of seeds,
Said they would take care of all of her needs.
She planted them randomly and carried water from the creek,
And up the plants came with all she did seek.
One plant had jokes to make the old lady laugh,
One plant grew a strong pole she used for a staff.
One plant had love, pure and so sweet,
One plant provided delicious...

Life is Full of Fun
eeny meeny stubbed my toe,
my boyfriend pointed to the door and said "Go"!
missed the bus and stepped in a puddle,
even my dog refuses to cuddle.
ate a worm and cried 4 tears,
Santa Claus drank all my beers.
leaned my head back and laughed at my woe,
"HA!HA!HA!"...then stubbed my stubbed toe.
lost my glasses and broke my pottery,
then OMGOD I won the lottery!!
"HA!HA!HA Life!", I laughed out loud,
then lightening came down from that cloud..
and struck me dead.
The End.

Poor Willy
Crazy Willy crossed the street -
He thought he saw a big pig's teat.
He thought he saw a dollar bill,
He thought he saw a porpoise's gill.
Crazy Willy got hit by a bus,
For once he caused a sympathetic fuss.
"Poor Willy", they whispered in a horrified tone,
"Did you see the blood and the bone"?
Crazy Willy crossed the street,
He thought he saw the Minister's feet,
He thought he saw a way to heal,
He thought he saw a way to feel....
Better

Ester Cobb
Ester Cobb was never a snob -
Even when she lived with that rich guy Bob.
That was a time she had all and more
And her pocketbook opened many a door -
But boy, Bob could snore and snore some more.
And while he slumbered poor Ester tumbled
Down into madness.
The shadows in the dark frightened her a lot,
So she slept in the Benz more times than not..
To hide from the shadows that plagued her peripheral
And swam in the milk she poured on her cereal.
The Benz and the man and the pocketbook tan
Are long in her past and so far away -
She asked for...
