Morning splendor I await your arrival
Sleep no longer my survival
Dreams of slumber elude me tonight
With no sleep in sight
Once woken there is no return
For the dream-state of nocturn
Gone are dreams of paradise
Replaced with staring into the dark night
For my angels wake me gently
Whispering to me intently
Reminding me of my destiny
Has yet to be complete
Wake says the voice clearly
For your awoken state is merely
Your opportunity to pen a verse
Allowing the thoughts to disperse

I am finally free

Thanks for the blessing
No more wondering
Our final chapter has ended
My last hope suspended
I can now move on to see
If there is a man who will cherish me
Not more longing
No more sad songs
Simply the closure that belongs
I have needed for so long
So now I will open my heart
Clearer, spiritually and smarter
Thank you for the freedom
I am finally free
