Mended Heart
Tantamount I was to a broken glass
Mentally paralyzed, emotionally maimed
Lifetimes passed and to the world I was gone
Alone I was awaiting the one to mend it and make me his own
You came like a knight in shining armour
With breath-taking smiles and unrivalled humour
With soothing words you stirred up the life I lost in the deep
With every touch of your hand against mine I felt my broken pieces coming together
At last we were entangled in skin
And at that moment my life began anew.
