Poetry Contest Description
SHAKESPEAREAN SONNET in Visual Poetry
Fellow DUPians, Words on Canvass Group is up and waiting for your creations. To kick things off, come join this visual poetry competition. Let's start putting your shakespearean sonnets into canvass.
RULES
Select your own theme (but for this comp, no overly explicit content is permissible)
1. Two entries per poets
2. Can be new or old writes (so start making your old posted sonnets into visual poetry... don't be shy)
3. Remember to make your work blended harmoniously with text readable. (No matter how good your content is if it's hardly readable, then it makes no sense)
4. The winning entry (aside from receiving a trophy) and runner ups (if there's any) would be feature in Words of Canvass Group.
If you have questions, hit me with it in p.m.
Good Luck People!

Hey SS,
I'm sorry if we disappointed you. In this competition, we wanted to emphasise the visual feel of the poem. So we have given preference to the more appealing poem as a picture.
Please join the "Words on a Canvas" group to get more information, or pm me or Oxy.
hope to see you in our next visual competition.
cheers.
Vick

Oxy & dejure ... `Thank You`
for the Honor and for
considering my poem
for the visual aspect of it.
The entries were quite competitive
so I did bite my nails some;
I am grateful.

My apologies, Terry,
for not adhering to the rules
of the `sonnet` as I was more
focused on the visual
so forgive me for straying.
As dejure pointed out previously
in regards to the ``disappointment``
they are/were the Hosts
and it was their comp as well as their call
and I have much respect for their decision
as others may not.
But if it`s the Trophy
you`re concerned about,
then you can have it;
it`s no big deal.
And btw ... Thank You for the Congrats.
Yes, I`m being a smartass.
