Thanks for all the entries so far, and I wanted to clarify more, as I think some are wondering still, about the format : you don't have to do just one haiku per day--you can do multiple haikus throughout each day if you want, but post that day's writes, as one post . Example: if you write 10 haiku for today, put those all in one post . If you write 5 haiku for tomorrow, those go in another post, etc. You can enter as many "days" as you want, hence the whole week if it suits you, but keep each day's haikus as a single post so we can see your whole day described in haiku, hence, the multiple writes each day and not just one per day (unless you want to sum up your whole day in one haiku)

Hope that helps more! 😊

I hope it's been okay that I'm updating my multiple haiku each day in the same original posting. This way, the complete collection (called a Renga) can be viewed as one submission, instead of seven sets spread over seven days.

Absolutely--that's the idea! It keeps everything organized and more readable than having posts all over the place with one haiku in each

Uh huh!...

And even if one does multiple haiku for a day on a new page, that would still mean seven individual sets where you'd have to tie them all together to read as 1 week.

I hope your explanation will help you as well as the active participants of this competition because you'll be the one who has to sift through it all as the judge when the time comes. <3

19 November

:)

Her body invites
Fingers memorize her shape
Good morning indeed

Lights Left On

House in disarray
Responsibilities shirked
Sleep abducted us!

ISIS...smh

Threatening New York?
Guns and bombs are outlawed there.
Fools...don't they know that?

More to come ...

And here it is--trophy to Miss Chiyo, Jade and Kate runner ups, honorable mention to everyone else!  Congrats all around, and this was a tough choice; Miss Chi really brought out a great slice-of-life mixed in with the terrible news on the world-front, of late, and that kept coming to mind, how well you got that information across within the constraints of haiku.  Jade and Kate--great job--I think you both are tied for second place!  Thanks for playing, everyone!

Thank you so much, Jade-Pandora :-). Lobo started the comp off, I was second and constantly adding haiku to my first post. Well, most of them I added today but wrote them during the last week. That's why?
