'The Dance  {sacred & profane}' My profane addition from a collaboration w/ Johnfeddeler

As a vivid dream, his moonlit charm roused within me,

settling softly against a resisting pout. Daring not escape.

But, rather cinch the heart's restraints. A contemporized macabre.

Coursing spiccato vibes along our astral plane.

Our chassis whisper the blue language; The physique of profane.

As the night's chill deepens its breath to twilight, cries reign.

Haunting arias of Dimitrova's, Madame Butterfly

announces the epic rivaling.

Whilst my dainty toes, tip and sway to his pristine pulses,

my soul stirs on veined winged compulsory.

Fluttering wildly against his lead. I cave. Trip the light fantastically.

With love's mosaic staged on high, he presses simply for delight.

As the horizon surrenders its transparency,

we twirl on chords of fantasy.

I gaze his eyes their final stance.

Mesmerizing is the dance.

Fuck Art Let's Dance

With kabuki grace
jerked into bezerker rage
I will carve this sacred space

Translating the polyrhythmic wind
into complex geometry
calling forth Djinn from each direction
with the ecstatic elasticity of my limbs

First, the heel of foot
lifting preemptive to earthquake vibration
then, poltergeist current surging up legs
to root chakra
opting on rock steady

Ready,
then aim fire
spiraling serpentine excitement
up from belly to bellow throat
splitting dually to reached out hands
in a feeling frenzy `

Finding fluidity
in the rolled waves of electrified air
the dancer; now with mushroom cloud crown
escapes outside of his skin
becoming the expanding edge of the universe

note: this is an older write, but was never submitted into any competition

Dancing note

Late night shimmying to a melody
She sways beneath the moonlight
To a one
To a two
And a third drum beat
Smiling in her red night gown
She is joy
She is purpose
She is the meaning to nature
The girl with eyes twinkling
Showing me her vibe
she dances in front of me
Mind provoking the night is young
Coming closer and closer
Taking my hand asking is i could take the lead
To the soft reggae beat
To the sound that will capture this moment
When her and i become one in reality
Now awoken from my sleep
I wait
Wait for my Rastafarian
As i play the same melody

(This is my half of the co-write with blue_angel.)

         Dance (sacred and profane)

A moonlit terrace.  a goodnight waltz.  and the most
ethereal beauty in my arms. unimagined and sacred.
have you fallen, Angel, from a sky kingdom,
into my sweet elusive dream?

But she isn’t a dream; she is real. I can feel the heat of
her flesh burning under her gown, arousing my own
immoral desires. the Sisters of Mercy who taught me
catechism years ago would beat me.

If she is the golden treasure behind the walls of a gorgon’s castle,
then I am a soldier. a soldier of fortune. the music, the lady, the
night, join forces to assault my logic. would I exalt the myth of
love? chance my loneliness on the torrid gamble of romance?

Rather, let the music never end, nor the moon depart,
that we may dance beyond eternity –
we synergistic starlings,
dancing into oblivion.

(2nd entry)

      juke-box serenade

drop another dream in the juke-box
and roll another one
like the one we just bogarted.

hey, little girl
in the sprayed-on jeans
& the Mamie Van Doren sweater,
smile your heart-breaker smile
& I will sing you rock&roll sonnets
I will name you moonwind of my heart –

beauty will splash like iridescent rain puddles
when you dance on the checkerboard floor.
the east-side punks & the uptown girls will
sway in the purlieu of your wagon-wheel stage.

let me hold you close when the lights
are dimmed on the poor side of town.
in the sad songs, the echoes of weeping guitars
remind us that tears are meant for only the lonely.

someday my burger & fries paradise will be
deserted, the records will no longer spin,
& my teen angel will dance off into a neon sunset…

but right now, in this pearl of confusion,
roll me another one.

Holding you here in my arms
The songs they sing a serenade
Moving feet carefully
Give you a twirl
Then back into my arms
Talking, laughing
More felt than heard
And if the music stops
I'll hum a tune
I know you like
And we keep dancing
Our wine-soaked feet
Through an unsteady beat
But nights like this last forever
So to speak
