cradled  into the depths of my dirt filled skies, the shade of lies
surround the emptiness I shed ,fore six feet from the death of your
penece I sit on  a thrown once torn  from the heavens As I decorate my hell
With a passion as my queen Venus dress the pondered souls with lies in the beauty
Fit to bleed from there hands as the nine gates set reason over and over ,fore Iam the god the breathes suicde that
fuels the death with the need of disease  beckoning the whores that cursed your Christ
as so your god tried hades as a hell fore deuce Iam the roam Iam the psalm that bellows offering a cache for your sins ,being the lust I share the rave I conquer  In the mass of devils soldering upon the angels I floundered to ride my hym in a relm of dirt
Filled skies among thrown I sit waiting six feet for your birth deuce Iam

Magic songs they sung,
rode on wolves
the god and gods.
At the heavenly house,
Odin listened,
in Hildskialf;
let them go forth
on their long way.

(from Odins Ravens song by Benjamin Thorpe)
--------------------------------------------------

ASATRU

I have always know that I belonged to the sea
Tranquil and deep and bottomless
My voyage starts where it ends

From life I have been given
The threads of understanding
My throne and robe beside me

O, fierce, my warrior soul
For I shall endure the ways of the old
To battle in Valhalla with my spears

Of fleeting silver, swords in armor
I who have bled the final blood
Equipped for the exquisite bride

Who awaits me amongst the final waves
My body is embedded with leaves
I rest on the royal cloth

How shivers the cold from the surface
The stone boat carries me
Wrapped now in gifts and elusive air

Heavy grows the boat as rock piles
Upon my beloved body
Whilst the Hart I feed
The first leaf of Yggdrasil

O, said the full moon
Loki, the jealous god
he envies so, my light
Not him I do love, but Sunna
As he is of light

I seek, the darkest of nights
O reign of ancient plight
O reign of Northern stars
May Odins wisdom bless you

Gently the boat sets in motion
Soon to sink
One
With the ocean

------------
In this poem I have used many things from the Old Norse traditions, however, I have turned the facts around a bit so this is purely fictional (fe Sunna is a goddess but here I use this name for a male person)...

Here's a new one with some Egyptian flair. Hope you enjoy

IMHOTEP

The path leads through the desert sands
For the high priest in all the land.
On his way to Anubis' throne
For immortalization
    Among the bones.

High Priest Imhotep awaits death
Hiding out of the reach of Set.
Tomes of greatness of what he did
In the afterlife he will fly
    Above pyramids.

All hail the son of Ptah
    How heavy is his heart?
    Will his feather fall
    Into the mouth of Ammit?

The god-priest brought with him divines
For all people to follow signs.
Grant audience with Nile God
Khnum granting miracles
    With magic rods

Imhotep with his magic cures
Exist on Earth as one so pure.
Standing proudly before God Ra
The hawk guards him so swiftly
    With hunter's cry.

    Osiris looks on
How is he set to judge?
    Will he show mercy
For a humble god of man?

At last He Who Comes In Peace
Is with peace in sands of the east.
His resting place, his missing tomb
Is mystery steeped in legend
    Kept in the gloom.

His creations reach for the sky
Equal with the sight Ra's eye.
He ascended to beat of drums
Man below sing his praise
    Throughout his kingdom.

I'm hearing you, Atakti!!! I've got two comp poems to write in 3 days.... can the Legendary Underworld poem have a "Charity" theme to it?

Hermes was charitable, he lead the dead to a new home. ;)
