Poetry Contest Description
Write a poem about loss that youve had
so this competion is about the loss that one has had.
you can write loss such as loss of a loved one, friend, or witnessing death, the loss of emotions, or what was left behind somewhere
any kind of loss really
ive said loss alot huh
well ummm
new and old poem, are okay
around 200 words
if its long i end up skipping it
i cant stay focused long enough
ummmmm
limit 4 poems per poet
have fun. . . wait its sad contest
so have... fun... with the... writing of the poem... i guess

as he walked closer
to me, i cringe when
he draws near
everything is silent
but the screams
that draw ever near
i look around
i want to flea in fear
but theres no where
to run nor hide
hes got me cornered
now im gonna die
but nothings happened
the screams stop
everything was silent
blood pools from under
the bodies that lay
sprawled across the ground
a trail of bloody boots
that straight to me
then they just disappear
night has fallen and
i still havent been saved
from this bloody horror land
this might as well be, hell
as he walked closer

I knew it when you said it
When you spoke those fateful words
When you let a part of yourself free
For me to catch and keep in my pocket.
Those self destroying words you spoke,
The ones that keep everyone away.
The ones that make me lose you.
I don’t have a lot friends, actually to be exact
I have two and one lives in my head.
I could have more, but they always end up
Telling me those words that shouldn’t be said.
The instant it passes their lips, it’s like a spell
Takes over them, and they realize that I’m boring
Now that they know me. They leave me in my own personal hell.
Trying to figure out where i went wrong.
How did i lead you to say this?
I tried to be annoying but endearing,
Frustratingly sweet, bitchy and kind,
Rough but gentle.
Yet, still you said those words, i hate those words.
Now that you've said it our friendship is gone, lost.
I know because you haven’t said a word to me for weeks
And we used to talk every minute of everyday
Why did you have to say those words?
Now I’m open and broken again,
Bleeding from a wound that’s been cut too many times.
It was worse this time, because I realized I felt the same towards you.
I said those words to you. Now you are gone
And I am depressed. Those words, those terrible
Words are
I
Love
You.

NO ONE WILL EVER LOVE YOU THE WAY THAT I DO
Twelve months since we split after nine years together
I thought we would have been together whatever the weather
I moved away from my home and all that i knew
So i wouldn't miss a single moment with you
Now i'm in another country all on my own
wondering why i just don't go home
And what i come up with while im wondering why
Is the reason i stay is just to hope to see you go by
If i go back to England, it would be admitting defeat
But that i can't do, cos my heart would never again take a single beat
Cos no one will ever love you the way that i do
And the reason im sure and know this to be true
Is when i looked in your eyes and the vows that i said
were imprinted on my heart the day we were wed
And there they will stay until the day that i die
Even after a year there's songs that make me cry
Because i will always love you, until the end of all time
And the hole that is left is knowing that your no longer mine
Its a deep dark void that will never again be filled
Sometimes i think it would be easier if i had been killed
Because without you my life just doesn't seem to matter
This thing in my chest i used to call my heart is in tatters
But no one will ever love you the way that i do
I just wish u knew how much i still and always will love you
