Your Safest Place?
My safe place
is my escape
a place of beauty
frozen in space
Something I can't describe
in any amount of time
You have to see it yourself
not through my lines
I suppose you can
call it my haven
A place hidden in the trees
and is graced with wind
A secretive spot
I can be lost in thought
A wonderful view
of the river and rocks
Down by the track
is where its at
but it is hidden
by the trees wrath

How Much It Hurts (SP Summerscales)
I can hear the drone
of the tightened bow
it draws across
the strings so slow
I feel the stinging
inner cold
the music chills
it fills my soul
if only you could ever know .

I have no worth
no more to gain
the cold of church
take me away
oh steeple high
can I now pray
no time to buy
left in this day
the blue of sky
colours to fade .
Piano help me
with your soft notes
the air of you
it makes me float
the harp of yesteryear

the diamond water tears
now crushed up jewels .

I cannot live on the earth
I have to hide
Humans are too scary
So come with me to see
The new space
You go to the house
You knock on the door
The robot will scan you
For 3 minutes or more
Enter, it says
Come down the stairs
It looks so normal
It is just a basement
In the wall - you cannot see it at all
Is a door which opens more
Down more steps
Like maybe a 4 plex
Suddenly the cavern emerges
Built to look like a shrine
Wait, why are there so many people
Hey we are the unwanted
So we got the hint
Decided to become hermits
Then became lonely
Now it is a commune
For societies pariahs
Who look so normal
That is because of good habits
We do not want creeps
We just want the unwanted
We get along
Collectively
No one argues
Everyone must love
Like GOD loves us - unconditionally
So in essence we are nuns and monks
Of the Holy Order of the Fools for the Lord
Who saw life above
Was nasty, brutish and long
Now we devote our life to song
Chanting and prayers
Day in and day out
Make a heaven of the old salt mine
Where workers died
Where widows cried
We have sanctified
The place
With our creative spirit
Watch your step
This is holy ground
Unfortunately because
Of nasty humans

The Safest Place?
in a cave called my room
where the fear doesn't loom
Where no sharp eyes scrutinize
and no perfectionists criticize
and locked doors seem like a solution
to every single problem
the one thing to diminish my fear
that makes anxiety so mere
in this one space I call my room
my heart is light
and free of fright

I was never even safe in my mother's womb
even before my birth
I will never be safe until I'm resting in my tomb
The safest place is in my mind
a beautifully created place
every resource I can ever find
lie right before my face
a beautiful forest
a flowing clean river
a bed of clouds where I can rest
and there's no cold so I can't shiver
my soulmate I can hold
so that I will never be lonely
safe from the realistic dangers of old
and surrounded by beauty

there are bees

It isn't a threat and it isn't that wide
But don't underestimate the contents inside
Two hardcovers the walls for my words
The untold truth despite what you've heard
Maximum security is a tiny lock and key
The entries inside run deep as the sea
Every paragraph right down to the sentence
My bible, my scriptures, it's all documented
My version, my verses, my own interpretation
Written by me my personal liberation
Not behind the bars of any steel cages
Just between the lines going across blank pages
The tranquility of it all makes me feel secure
It makes me not afraid to grow up and be mature
My identity is in a book that can't be exposed
Once it's closed there's no cracking the code

if it was not for her arms
i wouldnt know how it felt to be warm
her heart is my waking alarm
in her embrace my heart feels no harm
the look in her eyes envelop so much charm
for her sweet precious fruit i will surely farm
wherever she is is where i want to be from
