PALESTINIANS 'STARVING TO DEATH' IN NORTHERN GAZA DUE TO ISRAELI SEIGE
Oxfam official tells Al Jazeera Israel is using starvation as a weapon in its genocide against the Palestinians.
The struggle to survive continues in northern Gaza as Israel’s devastating siege and bombing of the area enters its 23rd day.
An Oxfam official told Al Jazeera on Sunday Israel is using starvation as a weapon in its genocide against the Palestinians and that the United Kingdom-based NGO was unable to reach people in the north because of Israel’s ongoing bombing campaign.
Mahmoud Alsaqqa, who is Oxfam’s food security and livelihood lead in Gaza, warned that some Palestinians are “starving to death” from hunger in northern Gaza and more people will die in the coming days.
“There is nothing. You are talking about tens of days that they are not receiving any supplies,” he said, adding that most Palestinians in the area rely on aid supplies.
Aid agencies say about 96 percent of Gaza’s population is facing high levels of food shortages. According to UNICEF, nine out of 10 children lack the nutrition they need for growth and development. At least 37 children have died of malnutrition or dehydration in a year of war.
The United Nations says Israel has blocked the entry of 83 percent of food aid into the Strip since the war began. It said about 50,000 children below the age of five need urgent treatment for malnutrition by the end of the year.
The Oxfam warning came as Israeli forces bombed more neighbourhoods in northern Gaza on Sunday and humanitarian officials sounded alarm about the ongoing ground assault by Israeli forces which is forcibly displacing tens of thousands of residents out of the area.
At least 35 people were killed in Beit Lahiya on Saturday after the Israeli army targeted five buildings in the north of the Strip. Another 10 people were killed in a separate attack in Beit Lahiya.
Israel’s strikes on the towns of Jabalia, Beit Hanoon and Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza have so far killed about 800 Palestinians during the ongoing siege, the Ministry of Health in Gaza said.
Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud, reporting from Deir el-Balah in central Gaza, said at least 35 people are missing and are feared to be under the rubble, or have been “vapourised” by the force of the Israeli bombs.
Additionally, an Israeli air strike on a house in Jabalia killed several people and wounded others on Sunday morning, Palestinian medics said.
“People were told to evacuate the Jabalia refugee camp in order to avoid being bombed, but by the time they got to areas far from Jabalia in the central and western parts of northern Gaza, they were bombed and maimed in the areas they were told to evacuate to,” said Mahmoud.
“The Israeli soldiers are forcing people to get out of evacuation centres and setting them on fire,” he added.
‘Dying in a genocide’
Francesca Albanese, the UN special rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories, said on social media platform X that “the entire population of Gaza is at risk of dying in a genocide that has been announced and executed under our watch”.
Albanese was responding to a statement made by UN humanitarian chief Joyce Msuya on Saturday, warning that “the entire population of north Gaza is at risk of dying” under Israel’s siege.
The International Committee of the Red Cross on Saturday said the ongoing Israeli evacuation orders and restrictions on the entry of essential supplies to the north had left the civilian population in “horrific circumstances”.
“Many civilians are currently unable to move, trapped by fighting, destruction or physical constraint and now lack access to even basic medical care,” it said.
Palestinian health officials said the siege had crippled the healthcare system in northern Gaza and was blocking medical teams from reaching bombed sites.
Israel maintains that its forces have returned to northern Gaza more than a year into the war to root out Hamas fighters who had regrouped there. The Israeli military claimed it “eliminated over 40 terrorists” in the Jabalia area in the past 24 hours, as well as dismantled infrastructure and located “large quantities of military equipment”.
But Mansour Shouman, a Palestinian journalist who used to live in Gaza, said Israel wants to force Palestinians to leave the northern part of the Strip to create settlements there.
“That area has been going through three weeks of very heavy land invasion attempts by the Israelis. You all are hearing what’s happening with the medical services there.
You all are hearing what has happened with the implementation of the General’s Plan, which is trying to eradicate the presence of Palestinians in the north of the Gaza Strip … and push them further south, in order to create a buffer zone for the Israelis and then to create settlements there,” Shouman told Al Jazeera.

How can you, Kamala Harris, be fully aware of such atrocities yet still repeatedly assure the arguably Nazi regime responsible for them of your 'Ironclad' support? How can you sleep at night? How can you even bear to look at yourself in the mirror each morning and see the eyes of a war criminal looking back at you, a war criminal complicit in the greatest crime against humanity since either the Holocaust or the dropping of atomic and hydrogen bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in World WarTwo? I know I couldn't – but then again I'm not a cynical careerist politician whose only concern is my own selfish ambition whatever the cost in human life along the way. For shame, Kamala Harris! UNICEF has revealed that In the latest atrocity commited by the Harris/Democrat-backed Netanyahu regime, the Israeli military killed more than fifty children in attacks lasting for a period of two days on the Jabalia refugee camp. Fifty children! Fifty fucking children, for fuck's sake, but still the Democrats of Kamala 'bomber' Harris continue to provide 'Ironclad' support to the Netanyahu regime to carry out these and other massacres.
The latest total of dead children since the Biden/Harris Democrat-supported genocide in Gaza began in October of 2023 now stands at 16,700. Say it slowly: 16,700 dead children. This total does not include the further 20,000 children who are missing or have become unaccompanied since the start of the war.
In addition to the deaths inflicted by hot bits of flying metal, disease and famine are rife in the area. Attempts by aid agencies to protect children against the ravages of polio have been seriously affected by the Israeli military bombing the makeshift vaccination centres. For example, the World Health Organisation (WHO) reported that the Israeli military dropped a stun grenade on a vaccination centre in Gaza City, despite agreeing to a humanitarian pause for a much-needed and long-delayed innoculation campaign. Four children were wounded by this attack, and further vaccinations inevitably disrupted.
Despite all of this and much, much more, still the Democrats of Kamala 'bomber' Harris assure the barbaric Israeli Netanyahu regime of their 'Ironclad' support. Quite frankly, it makes me feel sick to my stomach. The picture at the top of this post shows the murdered Palestinian children, Nayef and Abdallah Nashwan. Think of it when you cast your vote on Tuesday, America.

Meanwhile, after 394 days of genocide, the deaths of 43,374 Palestinians, including 16,765 children, more than 102,261 serious or critically injured Palestinians and with over 10,000 Palestinians missing, Kamala 'bomber' Harris in the most blatant piece of shameless electioneering it has ever been my misfortune to witness, finally – finally – says she'll do something to end the genocide in Gaza.
Why does she say this now. Has this odious, career politician at last developed a conscience? Could she finally have felt compassion for all the mothers who have scrabbled through the rubble of their shattered homes in a desperate search for the body of their baby? Could she perhaps have looked at the utter devastation the relentless Israeli attacks have inflicted upon Gaza, attacks carried out with Democrat-supplied American bombs? Could she finally have experienced a twinge of remorse for not only standing by and watching for 394 days of genocide but also for enthusiastically assuring madbastard Netanyahu's Israeli government of her 'Ironclad' support for them to continue the perpetration of this genocide? No, she couldn't.
The only thing this despicable politician cares about is her own political career and becoming president of the USA.
Quite simply, the reason for this apparent change of heart in relation to the holocaust in Gaza is that she needs the support of the over-200,000 Muslim/Arab-American voters in Michigan, one of the vital swing states, in order to achieve her careerist, presidential ambitions. However, she offered no details as to how she would bring about an end to the slaughter of Palestinians, merely speaking empty rhetoric in a desperate attempt to get the American Muslim/Arab vote. The Muslim/American-Arabs won't be fooled by her words.
The simple fact is that this vile politician is a hypocrite who will say and do anything, to promote her political career. At an earlier stage of the present campaign, for example, she assured the Zionists that her government would continue to supply Israel with American bombs and rockets. Previously in her career, she adopted left-wing policies to further her selfish political ambition, abandoning them for right-wing ones when they became no longer of use to her – as an instance of how far rightwards she has gone, just look at the current Democrat policy on Immigration. I'll say nothing about the allegations that she's slept her way to her present position as leader of the Democrats.
Personally speaking, if I were a US citizen I'd be voting for the Republicans of Donald Trump tomorrow. He would certainly end NATO's proxy war in the Ukraine with Russia, preventing any further deaths of Ukrainian civilians and conscripted Ukrainian and Russian soldiers, together with the accompanying destruction of towns and cities. Would he end the war in Gaza? Who knows, but in his previous term in office he did at least have a plan for a two-state solution to the Israel/Palestine conflict, even if not a very good one. It was at least an indication that he would try to solve the problems in the region if he were elected this time around. Whatever he would do, though, would assuredly be a big improvement on the position the Democrats of Biden and Harris have taken on the situation, with their 'Ironclad' support for the Israeli genocide in Gaza, support that would indeed continue should the Democrats of Harris not lose on November 5th.

In one of the worst incidences of political shithousery it has ever been my misfortune to witness, the dead-duck Democrat administration of the US yesterday gave permission fo the madbastard president of the Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to fire US-made long- range Atacm missiles deep inside Russian territory, thereby dangerously escalating the proxy war NATO is currently fighting with Russia, and bringing World War Three that little bit closer to all of us.
The Democrat administration knows that the incoming Republican government of Donald Trump is committed to ending this most pointless of wars, ending the bloodshed and destruction and allowing the conscripted soldiers on both sides to return home to their families, wives and girlfriends etc., so why is it allowing the Ukraine to use the Atacm long-range rockets now to attack Russia, having denied them permission for so long? The answer? Pure political spite to make things as difficult as possible for the incoming Republicans. Fuck all the dead bodies. Fuck all the grieving fathers, mothers and wives who see (bits of) their loved ones coming home in a bag. Yes, fuck them all , just as long as we piss off the Republicans a bit. Still, I suppose when you're responsible for the deaths of 43,000 Palestinians, including 17,000 children, the Democrats' thinking is that a few more dead Russians and Ukrainians won't matter much either way.
The war in the Ukraine must inevitably be ended sooner or later by diplomatic measures. Both sides know this. Politicians such as the current Democrat administration of the US, thousands of miles away from the senseless death and destruction, who happily only add to it with the stroke of a pen, make me sick to my stomach – and the shithouse poodle party-political journalists who support and cheer on such abominable actions make me sick to my stomach, too.
