I thought it would be interesting to take a look at Kamala Harris’s Solar Return chart ( above ), being she just celebrated her birthday last week. Those who can interpret placements in birth charts can see her rising sign is Capricorn, with its ruler, Saturn, the teacher and taskmaster, positioned in the second house, the natural home of Taurus ruled by Venus. This is a house of values and responsibility.
Saturn trine Mercury in Scorpio in the 10th house, the natural home of Capricorn ruled by Saturn. So, you can see how this is all interacting. Mercury's proximity to the Scorpio Midheaven suggests a significant focus on the public communication of one's ideas. This aspect typically emphasizes the importance of intellectual expression in the public domain.
With the trine to Saturn, the chart ruler—which is the ruling planet of the Ascendant, not the Sun sign's ruling planet—she is likely to feel a strong urge to share her practical vision publicly. Rendering her presidency practically defunct - except for executive orders. Pending, of course, that it's supported by a constitutional clause granting specific power. . .as it likely won't come from the senate if the Republicans retake it. Or, God forbid, maintain control of the house as well. . .
The Divine feminine has her own wiles about her when it comes to dealing with a dominant masculine patriarchy. Harris was born for this.
