Most people call writing what first comes to mind "off the top of your head." Not me. I write what I fondly refer to as "brain scoopings" -- reaching into the bottom of my skull for all the black mush of stress, anxiety, and living in general and throw it at a paper as hard as I possibly can, hoping it forms into something legible. Maybe something that someone somewhere will enjoy or even understand.
