the salt
1) in no agendas
your lashes sway, slow and monstrous
interlocks mine in a stun, your blinding suns
nacreous tears atomize, our vapourizing breaths
afloat swampy myristica fragrans mist
battling knuckles vanish, our crushing trysts
and discoveries-
your stilting roots
in my near stupor airs
2) the animal let loose
in murderous hunger spree
of blood splatters
gazes a praying deer
his torturous rage fits corporate flair
walls absorb her release traceless
her remnant salt, spills on the floor
you stamp, are infusing shards
of a lethal kill

I love the contrast between (1) and (2) almost like the first was the the net capturing it's prey and the second was the killing and feeding of said prey. How one can be fooled in the early part of a relationship, to believe it is all hearts and flowers, and further down the line, the true colours show.

isnt that the wildness very intrinsic of the puristics- freedom, love, truth, nature.. all others the choking dusts therein are hidden to be dissolving to nullness ultimately hopefully: the greys the overly mind the hunt the hate the demons. Its juz me JF in blabber mode of needful lunatic vent:)...your statements of feedback kindle words depths. tq adored poet fr being here. xx
The monster that exalted passion and overwhelmed her senses, is now the destroyer, unleashed within her walls, leaving nothing, remanants of her essence, perhaps the salt, her crystallised passion, the scattered shards of hope.
This is the Uma I recall, the confidence in her poetry is creeping back with the brazen imagery, sounds and smells, delicately beaten into her unique style of dark and tantalising poetry. I very much liked this concise and poetically powerful offering of the salt. Well done!
