Where Were You Tonight?

Sitting at the dinner table by myself,
Just playing with my food as I'm staring at the empty chair in front of me.
I see you aren't here, but I still wait even though it's almost 3 AM.
I throw away my food, and snuck up to the bedroom with a bottle of wine
as I try to unwind, but in the back of my mind I'm still thinking
" what the hell are you up to?".
I cry as I have another sip drinking my feelings away.
As my last tear began to drop you were here as you walked through the door.
I cried even louder just by looking at you.
You ignored me when I asked "where were you?"
So I yelled " you answer me!".
You stayed silent for awhile until you told me
" if you want to fight with me then too bad, I'm tired"
I cried and said " you promised we would have dinner tonight, you're such a liar!".
You wouldn't say another word
Then you tried to kiss my cheek, but I pushed you away
As I said " Where were you tonight?"
You smirked and said " don't worry about it"
I glared at you and said " damn you, I'll worry about it if I want to! You answer me!"
You just sat on the other side of the bed looking away from me,
Trying not to see me.
I asked again " Where were you tonight?"
You just smiled and said " don't worry about it, I love you"
I rolled my eyes and said " love should've brought ya ass home with me!",
I yelled as another tear fell from my eye
then I said " now tell me where were you tonight?".....
