If you had two weeks to two months to travel on a writer's retreat where would you go? Tell us about why you'd like to explore that city (or cities) ... It's bars, pubs, cafes, coffee houses, and or beaches (backpack required).

I included this link which in part sparked this question and another that focuses on U.S. cities.

I'm hoping to ride my motorbike down to Charleston, SC this spring, and my dream trip would be 3 - 4 weeks in Dublin/London/Paris.

i would hike the appalachian trail for two months. obviously wouldn't make it the whole way, but i'd put a little dent in it. the characters you would meet would offer an insane amount of writing material. not to mention the scenery and solitude.

I would drive across America and back, stopping at all the quirky sites found at roadsideamerica.com
