what do you want?

poet Anonymous

Look at us,
a bunch of unfortunate humans,
thinking we
own words,
wanting to
own words.

I would laugh
if I wasn't like the rest.

Some days I want
to die,
others I just
want to leave,
most days I just
write tired poetry,
and I'm starting to
realize
that I just want
to sleep.

Confront existing black hole codex
Refract light’s prism of vitality enhancing reverential space for transformation
Deconstruct known
Antidote for what ails planetary collective
Give up the ghost
Enamor responsiveness to now’s context
Fully expressed flexible within existing branches
One’s own rye zone
Frolic now
Mainline the mainframe
Keep register high

Let me be Heard

I want to be complex
in a faint environment,
and fortunate for me
my ugliness is friendly
so I found a way to get
along with even the most
morbid of souls,
dreams of being heard
by the loneliest of society,
making a difference
if only for tonight.

Deepest Desires

To feel,
Just for once
An emotion that rings true.

To not have to pretend.

For my caresses
And soft words
To be more than a husk,
A mere reflection.

Sometimes I lay awake at night
And just wonder

Am I the only one?

No More Surprises

I want life to stop wearing a mask
raping my dreams
sodomizing my hope
rough, raw, viciously
unprotected woes,
infecting my existence
to diseased situations

If life would lubricate
my struggles,
minimizing friction
and remove the mask
so I can see him coming
Smoother, he would be

Mania

my cerebral circuits
have deteriorated
bionic bridges cartorized
now only conducting
shallow ebbs of apathy

every now and again
when the sun grants
a passing smile
as she sets;
summer gales
harmonize with
nostalgic anthems

static pulses pop and ricochet
catalyzing momentary reanimation

I chase them down
with lightning rods

Want

I want a day,
in the beaming sun,
sweat pouring down my face, and still a smile...

I want to hear a thousand voices, none yelling...
to walk, just to walk, sun burning,
skin boiling, smelling like sweat...

I want another day.

BrIght stars told me "make a wish"
I told them of the one I did miss
And how she walked on our last kiss
In the end I was tossed back in the dish

I want her back
The lost was a heart attack
I want her back

The Connection

I want to turn on the faucet
with certainty I’ve payed my dues
that feelings are watertight, rattling
water hammer pulse to my heart
like a home with bad plumbing.

Constant thoughts that flow
like quicksilver streams
from inseparable minds
overflowing the bathtub
when she slides in
we align.

A Fair Trade

I cannot claim to be a soul short on wanting
But
if you stole away the sunrise
and razed the whole material world
I would inhale the smoke and embers through my blindness
And sigh out sweet contentment
just so
As long as the nighttime brought me him
in return
