This is the Internet. More specifically, this is a website on the Internet dedicated to poetry. My point is, don't expect me to be straightforward. I know what you're thinking: why would someone market themselves as dishonest? No. Not dishonest. Just, not straightforward. What's the difference? No matter how honest and truthful what I say is, I'm never going to post anything that was just spontaneously typed in and not re-read and edited at least once. Also, to me, poetry is never straightforward. The way I see it, poetry is to writing what the Abstract movement is to visual art: you shouldn't get everything handed to you on a silver plate; whatever's in a poem has to be digested thoroughly before you can start speculating about what you think it's all about. Feel free to disagree, and enjoy the ride.
