Denial Poems
#denial
Denial poems, poetry about being in denial, unwilling to accept that something troublesome is true. Denial poems about grief, unrequited love, addiction and not taking responsibility for our actions. Poetry about being unable to come to terms with difficult situations and events.
No Way
Under a grey night sky comes a lesson in truth.
In discarding clothing that no longer fit.
Holding on and on and on and on.
There was in the weeds a calling,
There was in the hellfire a lamb.
A lamb with delicate features and legs that seemed to shake under the weight of those big eyes.
His fleece was soft and a shiny white, slightly pink just under his chin and along his face.
He bleated as I passed and a glint caught my eye.
His thin pupils slide to meet mine, and I can see the faint pressure of a horn threatening to...

As the days of spring are here, I should be happy having made it through the winter. The April breeze brings regret, remembering what had been pushed aside, no, I was no mother’s favorite son
Recalling every detail, overthinking every word said, reacting with angry silence as a defense to hurts felt as a betrayal. No, I was not a sweet boy happily playing in a backyard with a toy
The spring breeze also tells me of an ending, my doctor’s remark of scaring bathers with dark blue blotches on my white body, it is like the process of death has begun when...

Still Processing So Much Pain
The problem with this world is that there's so much pressure to be positive, so much pressure to be a polished version of yourself. I really really love the fact that I'm bluntly negative, and I genuinely don't give a fuck.
Not here to give anyone false hope. It's amazing that I'm even still here. My body did so much to keep me safe, and it still is. And I read 3 chapters of The Hunger Games which is amazing considering the fact that I've used social media excessively to cope for several months now. I feel myself still in a fog, can't concentrate too well.
I know what...

we should have seen
we had it coming
looking at pictures of an empty Piccadilly Circus
or the Eifel Tower in Paris is empty of life except
for police cars cruising to fine anyone breaking the law.
The emptiness is enormous and frightening to think
how quickly humankind can disappear forever
When the pandemic is over, there might be another one.
Millions of people all over the world rotting in their homes
the disappearance of humans is a near reality.
The only hope is that we lived a tolerable good life.
The future will consist of animals hunting each other. ...

Life is unfair, yet a gift.
Life is unfair yet a gift:-
Some die of thirst whilst others drown to death, a person in prison feels free whilst someone in a land of flower beds seeks freedom.
The ones on top say but they aren't really humble,
The eyes of children are filled with tears as they see their dreams crumble.
Oh! I see. Oh! I see, that life is unfair yet a gift.
Oh! I see. Oh! I see, some die of hunger whilst others are sound asleep.
Sometimes I think to stair at the abyss hoping it will stair back,
But when I do...
I am the one who stairs back .
Oh i see ... Oh...

The black people are the

The Narcissist Monologue - "God , King / Nothing"
I am the sun. They orbit me.
(They should.)
(They do.)
If they don’t—
(well. I fix that.)
What is truth but the story I tell?
What is memory but what I say happened?
What is love but control wrapped in silk?
(I am good.)
(I am kind.)
(I am the victim, aren’t I?)
—they’re so sensitive.
twist a word, they shatter.
say nothing, they shatter.
must I do everything?
they would be nothing without me.
they should thank me, really.
(they do. they should. they must.) ...

Racial tension and Floyd
A picture of a committee in defense of human right a picture where serious white man and a woman in a business suit and to black persons This was serious business no one smile except the two black persons that spoiled the gravity of the solemn undertaking

No Title.
Never been good at breathing
Always felt like you've been drowning
When your arms are the dam to keep the flood waters from breaking
You take meds
But the meds won't fill that hole in your soul
You search for solace in the wrong hands
Stuff all that mess back in your chest
You tell yourself it's for the best
But it's like pumping your body full of lead
Weighing it down
To drown in the flood waters
Always felt like you've been drowning
When your arms are the dam to keep the flood waters from breaking
You take meds
But the meds won't fill that hole in your soul
You search for solace in the wrong hands
Stuff all that mess back in your chest
You tell yourself it's for the best
But it's like pumping your body full of lead
Weighing it down
To drown in the flood waters

A Deep Tragic Sadness
Sing a song.
Make it sad.
Cause I'm crying without.
These meds.
It's too early to fantasize about.
Success.
But I welcome the return.
Of emotion.
Even though.
My past isn't something.
I can deal with.
Right now.
Without the chemical lobotomy.
I'm depressed.
Everything has a personal meaning.
That I remember.
So I just have to push past.
This.
Incoherent mass of.
Feelings.
That were muted and benign.
Before, but not now.
Now they're prescient.
My tears well up...

Writer's block
Today, while trying to write I noticed an ant crossing the opposite wall, for it was a vast expanse watching the ant’s progress, I noticed it stopped circling back like it had found something edible I thought it was disappointed resuming the walk until it disappeared in a crack between wall and ceiling to a hidden society we would never join
Are ants aware of our existence we are there like the day, spilling a drop of beer on the kitchen floor that teenage ants drink, get pissed and told off by their parents never to drink if they do they will be too fat to hide in...
