Longing for who never was

Staring at a blank page, but the words will not form yet,
Awaiting inspiration from a person, whom I do not know yet,
I wonder where she is now, I wonder what she’s longing for,
If one day our paths should cross, I wonder will I be sure,
Maybe you are trapped in a life of pain, or pure luxury,
But I’m longing that some strong force, will send you straight to me,
I wonder how I’ll feel,
When my curiosity’s fed,
Will it feel so unreal,
Happiness in sorrow’s stead,
I will wait for that day,
It seems there has been a delay,
But in my hopes that day will stay,
I have a friend who sits alone, at home, all day and most nights,
Sorrow has grown, and he has known, not many fruitful insights,
He has no ambition, really, he sits and waits for life to start,
He fantasizes freely, though his dreams are torn apart,
For he has known many, though not the one he needs,
His passion it is dying, and his dream, it recedes,
His saviour, her charm and care, he needs it,
But his heart calls, will she heed it?
I don’t know you yet, it’s true,
I can’t wait to meet you.
