Come With Me

Come with me, he whispered on the wind.

Come with me, he said at night.

Come with me, he said, I will end your loneliness.

Come with me, he called, thru the storm.

Come with me, he moaned, we will be together forever.

Come with me, he said, over and over as I stood on the rocks.

Come with me, he crooned, I will end your pain,
         and I stepped closer.

Come with me, he whispered again,
and I felt his icy touch.

Come with me, he demanded, as the wind sprayed me
with salty water and again, I stepped closer.

Come with me, he called, as my tears mixed with
          the salt spray.

Come with me, he screamed, as the wind blew my wet
hair behind me, plastering my clothes to my shivering body.

Come with me, you said, as you took my shoulders and turned me towards you.

Come with me, once again you said, your hand lifting my chin.

Come with me, you said hoarsely as you saw my tears.

Come with me, you whispered, and I will take care of you.

And you took me away.
