The One that got away

She shined like a diamond , dangling from
my eyelids neck pining away for a place to
rest her weary lone sea. Casting our reflection
in her river of corroded memories, how easy it
will be to erase us with her descend.

for once she reaches her destiny no others
shall follow. She will forever be another
track on my life map. Not a detour but a
small bump in my road that left a small
portion of him on my surface. Like a reminder
to slow down or side step this small imperfection.

In her calming wake she will feel almost
like a lost cleanse or a reawakening as if
she was showing me the way back to that
part of me you overtook and maybe if I
stop over looking I can find my way back
to self again.

she understands that she will be but a lonely
lake. Not destine to connect with another body.
Just an unnoticeable ripple swimming in love
imagination pool.

I hope you understand that she will not
be as grand as the river I once cried,
while you were buried deep between my
thighs, because that was me loving you,
and I wanted to leave my soul energy
on our canvas.

Those tears was me sharing myself, truly being
naked in mind, body and spirit with only you.
she on the other hand will be a shielding,
a re-plastering over my bruised heart.
that in time that to will fade and
that once white patch that stood out so
much today will be a tarnished shade of grey.

leaving us but a distant reflection
in life lesson of Love..
