"Losing Everything"
I saw a picture of you today,
And felt a tear form in my eyes.
It was a picture of when you were young,
Around six or five.
You looked so happy,
Your face emanated nothing but joy.
Tell me, when did that stop?
When I was born?
I'm sorry if I hurt you.
I'm so sorry for pushing you over the edge.
I never meant to.
You were my big brother; my best friend.
All I ever wanted was to be with you,
And make you laugh.
Be the one you wanted to hang out with,
All the time.
I never wanted to ruin your life.
I never wanted to take the attention that you deserved.
I'm sorry all we did was fight,
And get on each others nerves.
... But in the end you gave me attention.
Not the one I had craved.
I thought I'd be happy when you did..
But I lost everything that day.
