Sunglasses
By Lara D.
I wear cool glasses
To hide away and
Cover up the marks
Of the black purpled
Bruises of abuses
My sadness and tears
The shattered dreams
And ugliness and fears
But I look too cool
They say with my
New stylish sunglasses
As they are blind
To see the tears
The shattered dreams
And the covered up
Bruises and fears
It’s been so many years
Since I’ve covered up
Those bruises and tears
But the feeling of
Those painful dreams
Still lives deep within
Covered up with a
Fake smile and glasses
