Cheated
She's the love of my life, my wife
Beautiful like a seed that sprouts like a rose.
Her smile is the sun that sets in the morning.
Pure is her heart that pounds
We are forever bound,
Tied in knots, but gently we escape
Lost without one another
The wind sings our names.
It's lovely, my wife lovely, the centerpiece of my puzzle
So elegantly put together
Fit for the whole world to see.
I saw, the beauty in her
God cried, showers of rain glowed
An angel displayed for many to follow
A beautiful love story to be forever told.
At least that is what I thought,
But dark shadows revealed the truth.
Blinded by the fact that I could not see
Reality pieces, a broken reflection of love.
Skeletons slowly fall out of the closet,
But I heard through the grapevine
That love has its cost,
A mirror tells no lie.
My wife look into one
It showed, "Cheated."
How does a heart mend?
Beautiful like a seed that sprouts like a rose.
Her smile is the sun that sets in the morning.
Pure is her heart that pounds
We are forever bound,
Tied in knots, but gently we escape
Lost without one another
The wind sings our names.
