Dreams of Love
In my dreams i could see you, but as I went to touch you, you melted away.
When i tried to stroke your hair, tangled and confused it flowed into the ocean
then evaporated from the heat of my touch.
Your melancholy eyes, i dreamed them lonely and blue, and as i tried to peer deeply into them, they fused together, closing me out.
In my dreams I attempted to place a gentle kiss upon your pouting rosy lips, but as I neared you felt my breath your lips crumbled from your face, and blew away
In a final attempt to let you know how i feel, i whispered and as i came closer to your ear so you could hear it shattered into a million shards of glass, cutting my fingers.
I now bleed for you.
In my dreams i saw you for a moment, but as if to escape the pain of love and its reality
you disintegrated, crumbled into tiny particles of dust and blew away, riding the wind free of feeling, free of the chance I could cause you heartache
Yet still i will always love thee
