why must you go?
I smile up at her,
Holding a flower that i picked just for her.
She takes it,
She smiles...
I hold hands with her in the park,
I feed the squirrels with her.
I do almost everything i can with her,
I even sing with her sometimes.
Oh the fun and joy we had....
As the years passed...
All the fun and smiles faded away...
Always hanging out with friends,
As she sat at home alone....
We soon began to fight,
We would go weeks without talking...
I felt as if she didn't care,
But she did....
But one day i got a note...
It said she was in the hospital,
I soon went to visit her....
A tear fell....
Seeing the pain she was in...
The sadness filling the air.
And all i could do is sit there and watch her die...
Her last words, "Dear child...why must you cry?"
i look up to her "The doctor said you are going to die..."
She begain to laugh,
As she did i looked at her confused.
"Why are you laughing?"
She smiled, "I know i will die soon...but i will never die in here..."
As she pointed to my heart,
i couldn't help but cry more.
Holding her hand as she took her last breath....
i soon bawled like the little girl i used to be...
The one i threw away,
The little girl that she missed dearly....
My last words to her....."I love you Grandma..."
Holding a flower that i picked just for her.
She takes it,
She smiles...
I hold hands with her in the park,
I feed the squirrels with her.
I do almost everything i can with her,
