Blinded
I'm not crying now to get your attention.
I merely want a small expansion,
of hope that has once been given to me,
to keep up the facade of how you used to be.
I hate how things have turned out now,
I want to scream, yell and shout.
So watch my tears fill up my eyes,
as you keep on filling me with empty lies.
I remember our time with smiles and joy,
and I know I'll come to miss you, my boy,
But deep down I know what is true,
You're still the bastard who made me lose,
My dignity, my trust and all that crap,
So watch as I turn to you my back.
I'm going to silently walk away,
leave you standing with a surprised face.
I merely want a small expansion,
of hope that has once been given to me,
to keep up the facade of how you used to be.
I hate how things have turned out now,
I want to scream, yell and shout.
So watch my tears fill up my eyes,
as you keep on filling me with empty lies.

But deep down I know what is true,
