I seen him
My initial thought was to give him a flirtatious grin
Follow behind the overly dressed customer
down the aisle of sin.

I watched
three magnums, a box of treats
vanilla scented glade
still he hadn't noticed me

I pretended
aisle six was why I made the trip
to obtain the items
this man had picked...

I waited
still unnoticed, checking off my list
he walked further back  
where there were pharmacists

I was confused
he put on a white jacket
checked for pocket tools
assorted medication
attached his name label

I approached
"Sir, I'll need an over the counter prescription
for you on me"
His eyes bulged out the socket
from my honesty

I gasped
Did I actually say that aloud to this man?
As trite as it was
I want his response to be "You Can"

I'm embarrassed
6'4, well built, scent of love with brown eyes
licked his lips, smiled at me
saw his throne begin to rise

I lurked
"Ma'am u sealed the meal from my lunch break"
 In my mind, I came three times, went back
again, for my sake

I asked

began to leak

Knocked down pills, lids & paperwork
on top we formally meet
