Ride My Soul
A distant cry takes me across
A silent breeze of fear
To a land of uncertain return
Left alone in the burning cold,
Screams summon the pain I feel
Into a dying shadow
The night merges my solitude
With the stare of evil's rage,
Both have come to tear away
A bondage of prevailing order
In a life of fallen treasures
My reflection laughs through
A stream of bitter tragedy
Off I go down the path of grief
Where lie the dreams that perish
The guilt worsens
The hunger for freedom,
While the shame secures
The demise of self-repent
For to tame the wind
Means not to mount,
But to conquer the beast
That rides my soul
A silent breeze of fear
To a land of uncertain return
Left alone in the burning cold,
Screams summon the pain I feel
Into a dying shadow
The night merges my solitude
With the stare of evil's rage,
Both have come to tear away
A bondage of prevailing order
In a life of fallen treasures
My reflection laughs through
A stream of bitter tragedy
Off I go down the path of grief
Where lie the dreams that perish
The guilt worsens
The hunger for freedom,
While the shame secures
The demise of self-repent
For to tame the wind
Means not to mount,
But to conquer the beast
That rides my soul
