Maria
The breeze blowing gently, the peaceful silence
A moment away from the screaming and violence
She opened her eyes and dared to look down
And gasped at the shock of the sirens and crowds
Her tear glistened eyes, cheeks sore from wet cold
She let out a whimper for what’s to unfold
Her toes gripped the concrete, hands clung to the wall
Sharp breaths as she panics awaiting the fall
One step to the darkness or into the light
She whispers “I love you, Im sorry…Goodbye”
A moment away from the screaming and violence
She opened her eyes and dared to look down
And gasped at the shock of the sirens and crowds
Her tear glistened eyes, cheeks sore from wet cold
She let out a whimper for what’s to unfold
Her toes gripped the concrete, hands clung to the wall
Sharp breaths as she panics awaiting the fall
One step to the darkness or into the light
She whispers “I love you, Im sorry…Goodbye”
