Return Me Home
I will trace your memory into my flesh
To take you to the home we were promised
I will sear your name into my sacrifice
As it rises above the smoke and returns to its firey grave
I would erase my name, My face, My existence
I would fade into the background that I have fought so hard to enlighten
Would you return once more, Through my marked door
Would you touch my blackened heart, And live through me
I will tear my being apart
I will throw my sanity into the sea
If it would bring you back, I would hang myself with this rope I have spent so long tying
Would you return to welcome me home, As I lay dying
To take you to the home we were promised
I will sear your name into my sacrifice
As it rises above the smoke and returns to its firey grave
I would erase my name, My face, My existence
I would fade into the background that I have fought so hard to enlighten
Would you return once more, Through my marked door
Would you touch my blackened heart, And live through me
I will tear my being apart
I will throw my sanity into the sea
If it would bring you back, I would hang myself with this rope I have spent so long tying
Would you return to welcome me home, As I lay dying
