Part I
Once a man of a good life, but that life I had rejected
accepting tempts of evil, slowly becoming infected
Ive long since lost my direction, just a bum on the street
Now seeking exchange for this soul, but I havent a receipt
Ive spent many nights crying to the heavens for a chance
"Please god, give me anything, a miracle, a sign, an advance!"
Used to be...nothing...not a peep, or hint from the coward
Just streets of filth and lost souls, cold, dark and devoured
I could see the devil working through the help of his demons
Not an excuse to live left...when I ponder lifes reasons.
