Home as a playground filled with roaming carnivores... That's a new one on me, and I love the metaphor. A really inventive short poem! I see a little girl lost amidst the fierce tyrannosauruses, who trample the swings and the seesaws.

it's more of a reference to vile people keeping company with other vile people, and how as i child, growing up with my mother and stepfather being negative and hateful all the time made me that way...they nashed their teeth so i nashed back. it was a constant battle of who was the top of the food chain. i finally won that battle but i bit off more than i can chew; and from that, my epiphany came about: that negativity breeds negativity and all i ever had to do to overcome my anger and aggression issues was to leave home. and i did.
