Went to look at the place
Where once we stood
Misunderstood
Fortunately lucky
We stand intact
In spite the damage
Self inflicted
Hope for change
Dreams for days
Disguise the torment inside the shame
Relief can't come when the mind is to blame
Lift above the neutral plain
End the game
Desires lie empty in the sand
While the ocean's waves drift away
Let the sun start a new day
Forget about yesterday
