To live in fear
Is to not live at all
No to breath
No to speak
But to scream silently
A whisper in the wind
A quite breeze that burns
Blistering the skin
And festering the mind
It bleeds internally
Fear
Such a simple word
Concept
Emotion
Irrational fear
Can keep you up at night
And dominated your brain
Like an addict to their drug
You must fan your flame
Blame – where does it lead?
Down a winding path
Of back ally-ways
Abuse and pain
Emotional fear
Frozen in time
Can grip you so tight
Contaminate your mind
Control your thoughts
Fear such a simple word
Fear
It is killing me
From the inside out
And I’m paralyzed to stop it
